Hi Guys!
Just home from a trip to Colorado to visit family.
It was my first time and it. was. beautiful!
My Feedly was full, but I made it through more than 300 posts!
So many beautiful projects.
I would have liked to leave comments on them, but there were so many.
Starting now I'm back on track.
See you soon with some projects to share ;)

Friday Favorites {FIF #132}

Friday, August 30, 2013

Black Bean Burger from The Beanery.
So delicious!

I took a ride, with my parents, to Pt. Pleasant, NJ on Wednesday.
One of the things I love about NJ are its small town Main Streets full of eclectic shops and cafes.
The Beanery is my favorite place to eat lunch.  Not far from there is another one of my favorites, Spano's.  A cozy little Italian restaurant that is the best!

A new work bag.....finally!
I have been searching and searching for a new bag for about a year now.
The one I bought several years ago was the perfect work bag.  When, after years of use, it started falling apart I started looking for a new one.  Who knew it could be so difficult?  I walked around with a tattered bag because I couldn't give it up.  I finally found a new one that is just perfect for me.
It's a little on the expensive side, but considering how much I will be using it, I thought it was worth it.  I'm excited for the new school year to begin!

This week's Friday Inspiration File {#132} is full of beautiful new cards!
Check them out.

You may have noticed that I started pinning some of my own projects to a new KandRDesigns board.
I debated for awhile now about starting this kind of board.  I did it for a few reasons.  The main reason is that I found a few of my cards on Pinterest that linked to someone else's bog with no link back its original source.  In an effort to retain some control over my projects I wanted to make sure there was a link somewhere that took you back to the original source.....me :) Another reason is that I've wanted to have a gallery of my work somewhere and since I don't use Flickr or any of those sites, this was the easiest way for me to do that.  I'll slowly be adding my projects there so I don't overwhelm your feed {if you follow me}.

Come back tomorrow for this month's 12 Kits post and a GIVEAWAY!

Happy Friday.
I hope you have a great weekend!

{Sweet Sweet} Sunshine

Thursday, August 22, 2013

Yesterday, my friend Kelli and I, went into the city for lunch and some shopping.
We met at the train station and took the train in together.
There certainly was a lot of sunshine!
It was hot, but it was worth it.
 First stop...The Ink Pad!
Who knew such a small space could be filled with so much good stuff!
I picked up several stamp sets, a few ink pads, and a gift for my mom.
I can't tell you about that one because she sometimes reads my blog.

I've wanted to try these inks from Hero Arts for a long time.  It was great to do that without having to worry about shipping costs.  They stamp beautifully and I wish I had picked up a few more!

The store carries many stamp companies {My Favorite Things, Mama Elephant, Lawn Fawn, Avery Elle, to name a few} that are normally only available to me online.  It was great to be able to check them out in person.  I ended up choosing 3 Mama Elephant sets and 1 Lawn Fawn set.

We had a delicious lunch at Rosa Mexicano
The guacamole was awesome; so fresh!

Cardstock: PTI White, Harvest Gold

Spring Break {Friday Inspiration File #110}

Friday, March 29, 2013

More beautiful cookies {pinned here}.

Good Morning!
Today is the first day of my Spring Break!
I wish the weather were more spring-like, but I'll happily take the break either way!
My husband also returns home today after a two week business trip, so today is an extra special day.
I have tons of plans for my time off this year.  Usually we take a vacation during this week {Yosemite} {Las Vegas} {Savannah}, but since Ryan was away with an uncertain work schedule we couldn't make any travel plans. Hopefully we will take a {day trip} or two.  I love exploring close to home just as much as distant travel.

I haven't just been pinning cookies, I also sat down last night to pin new projects to the Friday Inspiration File {#110}, beautiful cards from my travels around the Internet.

Tomorrow, my friends from the {12 Kits of Holidays} and I will be sharing projects from the March kit sent to us by {Tracey}.  Usually we post on the last day of the month, but we decided to post a day early since we will likely be busy with Easter/Family fun! I bet you can guess the theme of Tracey's kit;)
See you tomorrow!

Fall Festivals

Sunday, October 14, 2012

We hit two Fall Festivals in one day!  First we went to Haddonfield, NJ.  Such a great town.  I love Main Streets like this one.  Tree lined streets with Gingerbread houses.
 Love it.

We stopped at Ludovico's for coffee and hot chocolate.
Their cookie of the day looked delicious, s'mores!  I didn't get one.  I just looked:)

Haddonfield's festival was small so we walked around in two hours.  We decided to take a ride to Moorestown's festival too.  This festival was larger and also had a car show which made my honey very happy!

This was such a cool idea.
You could make your own custom silk scarf at their booth.  I loved watching it change as the customer added each new color.  I could have stood there all day, but for some reason Ryan wanted to keep walking;)

Hope you had a great weekend too!

Lake Winnipesaukee, NH

Thursday, August 18, 2011

Ryan and I had a few days to get away.  We decided to drive up to Lake Winnipesaukee, NH for a long weekend.  Ryan had been there with his family a long time ago, but I had never been.  We drove up mostly off the highway.  We love to really see the towns we drive through.  We consider that part of the vacation itself.  We are really happy when we come across a good antique store!

The lake is so large we decided the best way to see it was to take a tour.  It was a 2 hour tour on the MS Mt. Washington.  It was really beautiful to see all of the little islands and the homes were amazing.

Our hotel had a small beach and dock area which is where we spent the first evening watching the sun go down.  Each morning we had breakfast at the Union Diner
It was so good and the people were really nice!

We love to hike so we headed to Castle In The Clouds
Some hiking and some history!

It was really beautiful up there!  The view was insane.
We had a really great time.

Thanks For Everything

Tuesday, July 13, 2010

Ryan and I are home again after a long weekend in PA. We try to make this trip every year. We had such a great time with our family. My nephews are growing up so fast. They cracked us up all weekend long.
My sister-in-law and I took some time to hit some antique shops. I found 2 of these awesome bottle carriers, at a great price too!

It turned out our watermelon was seedless, which needless to say makes having a watermelon seed spitting contest difficult.
We were very resourceful and used split peas instead:)

As you can see, I wasn't very good at it!
The kids really got a kick out of it.

Coming Home

Friday, April 9, 2010

Savannah, GA is full of beautiful, historic homes.

We're home! Although we had so much fun in Savannah, it's always nice to come home again. I really missed Lady, but she was in good hands at my in-law's house. I'm looking forward to having a card or two to share with you soon. 6 days without making something is a long time for me. It was nice to have a break from it and return now with so much new inspiration!
Have a great weekend!

Spring In Savannah

Wednesday, April 7, 2010

We are having such a great time in Savannah. The weather is just perfect, sunny and warm with a breeze coming off the river. Good food, nice people, and so many flowers! Highlights so far:

Hope you're having a great week!

Delaware Water Gap

Monday, October 13, 2008

Yesterday we hiked the Delaware Water Gap. Although the leaves have started to change around here, we wanted to go a bit more north to get a better show. We certainly got what we wanted. It was beautiful. A lot of people had the same idea that we had, but the trail weren't too bad. Actually, we met some nice people.

Views from the top.

Rough terrain on the way down, nothing but rock. We were so glad we didn't hike up this way.

Reason #4,761 why Robin should come visit me:)
