Let's Celebrate

Monday, July 30, 2018

Happy Monday morning! Not typically a time to celebrate, but let's give it a shot! The start of a new week can be super positive once the shock of the alarm has worn off!  I love making a list and dumping all of those things swirling around in my head onto a piece of paper.  I always feel much more relaxed after that.  Are you a list maker?

Today's list includes getting all of my August birthday cards ready to go.  I have a ton of birthdays this month: two nephews, a cousin, an uncle, two close friends!  My card today is heading out to my friend Trish.

I love using the WP9 Big Top Background as a backdrop for flowers.  I think it makes a nice juxtaposition of bold, graphic with feminine, floral.  I love it!

So, August birthday cards, check! Now to tackle the rest of my list! Have a great Monday!

There's No One Else Like You

Tuesday, July 24, 2018

Hey! I haven't been spending much time inside these last few weeks.  The weather was so warm and beautiful.  Now we have started getting daily thunderstorms that force me back inside and into my craft room! Not a bad thing!  I pulled out this fun Wreath Turnabout set from Concord and 9th.  I decided to stamp in shades of blue and brown. I used Papertrey Ink's Spring Rain, Blueberry Sky, Enchanted Evening and Dark Chocolate.

I die cut the words Thank You using the No One Else Die from WPlus9.  I used both the positive and negative to create two designs at once.  These are quick and easy Thank You cards when you need one in a pinch!

KandRDesigns Is 10 Years Old

Friday, July 13, 2018

Good Morning! Happy Friday the 13th!  I'm not superstitious, but it's always fun when the 13th falls on a Friday! I guess I've worked with kids for too long, LOL!

I'm sharing this birthday card on my blog today because I am celebrating a special birthday this month.  KandRDesigns is 10 years old! I started blogging on July 9th, 2008!

I started blogging as a way to share the things I loved including cards and scrapbook pages, home renovations, travel and art.  The focus has narrowed and has mainly become stamping and cardmaking with a little bit of everyday life sprinkled in.  I have had the opportunity to work with so many of my favorite brands over the years and my love of cardmaking continues to grow.  My blogging has ebbed and flowed with the things going on in my life.  I would have liked to had a bigger celebration with giveaways etc, but my mom is in the hospital right now and that is my focus.  She is getting better and hopefully going home soon.

Thanks for coming by today and celebrating my 10th birthday!
