In Love

Thursday, December 30, 2010

I'm in love with PTI dies.  For a long time, I thought that a metal die cutting system was something I wouldn't get that much use out of.  I had gotten pretty good at hand cutting around stamped images.  After seeing so many beautiful projects using metal dies and all of the materials you can cut with it, I changed my mind.

I love this card!

Top 10 Of 2010

Tuesday, December 28, 2010

I saw this on Lorraine's blog and that it was such a great idea. It's fun to look back at all my posts from 2010. I posted 210 times so far this year! That's 51 times more than last year and 120 more posts than 2008. That's a lot of cards!!  Clicking each picture will take you back to the original post.
I'd love to see your Top 10.

Papertrey December Blog Hop Challenge

Sunday, December 26, 2010

This year, I wrapped most gifts very simply.  I used a kraft wrapping paper, stamped brown snowflakes (from Holiday Treats), and brown satin ribbon.  This month's Papertrey Blog Hop Challenge is to reuse some of those holiday trimmings.  I chose to reuse the brown satin ribbon to create a birthday card for my mom and a thank you card for a friend.

I'm having a lot of fun using my new Cuttlebug too!

I hope you had a wonderful holiday!!
We are in the midst of a snowstorm which is perfect crafting weather!!

The Littlest Stamp

Thursday, December 16, 2010

PTI's new Banner Builder set is a really sweet, whimsical set that I really knew I would love using.  Little did I know that I would find great inspiration in the littlest stamp in the set.  A tiny little x stamp.  If you're not careful, you'll loose it!  As soon as I saw it, I thought of cross stitch and I have been waiting to try out my idea for about a week now.  I love the result!
It really comes together more quickly than you might think.  I love the look with a mix of colors and on the bunny.  It gives the bunny a home made vintage toy look.

On this card I just used one ink color and I love the way that looks too!  I used my PTI felt for the first time on this card.  {Thanks, Audrey!}
Thanks for coming by today!

Homemade Holiday Sweets

Thursday, December 9, 2010

I was thinking of making these as gifts for co workers this year.
They look fun to make and delicious!

Valerie combines her two loves, stamping and baking, to create really unique treats.  I love this idea, especially the cookie garlands!

Aren't these mini gingerbread houses awesome?
They look so cool on the side of a mug of hot cocoa!

I finally had time to make and photograph a card!  I also did a little Christmas shopping with my mom and dad. I got a package in the mail to my nephews and wrapped some presents for Ryan.  We still don't have our tree yet.  We only have about 2 more weeks!!
