Stitching On Black Cardstock

Hello! I hope you're having a relaxing Sunday!  Today I have a card I created using the new WP9 Needle Point Hearts die.  Until now I had done all of my stitching on white cardstock, but I thought it would probably look cool on dark colored paper as well!

 

I die cut a piece of black cardstock using the 4 Bar Stitched Rectangle die and then centered the heart and ran it through my die cutting machine again.  I added simple stitching around the heart starting with white on the outside rows.  Working my way towards the center, I added a light pink and finally a hot pink in the center.

A Card, The File, and Vegan Cookies

 

Happy Friday! This summer is flying by too fast!  Today I wanted to share with you a card I made for the WPlus9 Blog a few weeks ago.  I used the new Southern Summer Florals 1 stamped in blue!

 

I used layers and layers of white cardstock.  I love the shadow from the 'love' die cut word.  If you'd like to read a little more about how I created this card visit the original post here.

Wish me luck! I have entered cookies into a competition at my husband's work.  I used a recipe from Beaming Baker.  Her Vegan Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies.  I altered the recipe only slightly.  I omitted the shaved coconut and added a few more chocolate chips.  They're delicious!

You're The Best

 

Hey! I'm back again with the second card I mentioned in yesterday's post.  This card was created the exact same way just with different images.  This time I used the new Summer Citrus set from WP9.

 

For these citrus colors I used PTI cardstock and dye ink in the colors Harvest Gold, Orange Zest, and New Leaf.  I used the same Basic Greetings die set for my sentiment, but this time used the 'thanks' die.  I added a secondary sentiment from Basic Labels stamped in white pigment ink.
