Thankful Autumn Leaves

Monday, November 12, 2018

Hello Guys! Just popping in quickly to share a card I created for the WPlus9 Blog.  I love this card.  Something about the color and movement of these leaves I just love.

I've already sent this card off  to a good friend of mine and she loved it.

Keep Calm And Float On

Thursday, November 8, 2018

Good Morning! I know most people are in full Christmas mode right now in terms of card making.  I'm just not feeling it today.  I had this adorable set on my desk and I just wanted to escape the cold weather and create something bright, fun and summery!

I created this cool shaker pool using vellum for the water filled with Martha Stewart heart and star glitter.  I don't know if you can still purchase this glitter.  I bought it at Michael's so long ago, but I'm sure with a quick internet search you will find something similar.

I used the most sherbert-like colors I had to color my images.  I also used gold Wink of Stella for the unicorn horn and donut.  Almost everything else got a coat of clear shimmer.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Autumn Blessings In A Teacup

Friday, October 5, 2018

Hello! I wanted to share a card with you today that showcases the versatility of the new Hello & Thanks stamp set.  This perfectly sized teacup works with so many other stamp sets you probably already have.  Try it out!

I used this single sunflower image from Autumn Blessings and it fits perfectly.  I used the CCS: Hexagon dies to create a tablecloth for my teacup to sit on.

Masking With Autumn Blessings

Saturday, September 29, 2018

Hello!  It's Saturday and it's pretty chilly today.  I'm looking forward to a little fire in the fire pit this evening.  So cozy!

It's definitely Autumn.  You know me, I love summer, but I'm trying to embrace fall.  There's a lot to love about this season, like the gorgeous stamp sets released this time of year.

This card features a one layer design using a lot of masking. I started by stamping the rectangle (Autumn Blessings) and the sentiment (Hello & Thanks) in black ink.  I cut a mask to cover the rectangle, then stamped the sunflower wreath.  I removed the rectangle mask and replaced it with a mask that covered both the rectangle and the sunflower wreath.  The Autumn Blessings coordinating dies make this very easy to do!

Once everything was masked off again, I stamped the leaves and acorns to fill in the rest of the panel.  I added some Copic coloring to the wreath and touches of shimmer with a clear Wink Of Stella glitter brush pen.

Simple and fun to create!  Have a lovely weekend!
