Mother's Day Card And Notepad Set

Sunday, April 24, 2016

My mom mentioned she could use a new little notepad.  I decided to make hers to match her Mother's Day card.  I love making these little notepads.  They are a quick and easy gift to make for someone.  I always keep a stash of white and cream notepads from Papertrey Ink.

I used the new Freehand Florals from WP9 with a ton of Pure Color Dye Inks to create my stamped design.  I die cut the panel with the very feminine WP9 Sunshine Layers die and accented the sentiment with birds die cut from the WP9 Birds and Branches die.  On the notepad I kept the design super simple with just a black bow die cut from balck cardstock using the Lil' Inker Small Bow die.  Sometimes I add a closure, but opted not to this time.

I hope she likes it!
Thanks for stopping by.

My Wednesday Wish List

Wednesday, September 23, 2015

Hey guys!
Happy Hump Day!
I knew when school started I' be slowing down a bit on my posting schedule for the first few weeks.  Throw in working on projects that I can't share yet and five days go by with out anything to share.  I miss you guys :)  I thought I'd pop in today and share a few things on my crafty wish list: some old, some new.  With each set I also included a link to a favorite project I've come across featuring that stamp set.

Do you have any of these sets?  Do you love them?
What's on your craft wish list?
See you soon!

Sending Love

Today I have a card made from the glitter piece I made yesterday.
I die cut the bow from that glitter piece, lining up the row of hearts so they run across the center of the bow.

These glitter colors looked beautiful with Wplus9's Sweet Gelato cardstock.
I've used it for parts of the bow and the card base.
I also die cut some additional hearts from the left over pieces using Wplus9 Love Notes Dies.
They have the perfect sized little hearts.

Wplus9 is continuing their birthday celebration with challenges and new product releases.
The newest challenge is Step It Up: Adding Dimension.

Have a Great Day!!

Stamping Masculine Prints

Tuesday, December 31, 2013

Good Morning.
Happy New Year's Eve!
Do you have any plans?
My husband and I always stay in on New Year's Eve.  We  prefer to stay home, safe and warm, instead having to be out on the roads.  Not only that, but by now we are holiday partied out and just want to celebrate in a low key way.  We watch movies and/or play games.
Ryan usually cooks a special meal.  I love it!

I had so much fun stamping these fun masculine prints the other day.
Yesterday, I put them to use.
I know Father's Day is a long way off, but when the inspiration strikes you just have to go with it.
I purposely placed the glasses at the top, above the mustache, with the bow-tie underneath to mimic a man.

I used my left over pieces to create a second card for this week's Make It Monday.
This week's topic is angled backgrounds.
I placed the leftover strips with random angles back and forth and then trimmed whatever hung over the edge.

Have fun tonight and stay safe!!
See you next year ;)
