Good Morning.
Happy New Year's Eve!
Do you have any plans?
Do you have any plans?
My husband and I always stay in on New Year's Eve. We prefer to stay home, safe and warm, instead having to be out on the roads. Not only that, but by now we are holiday partied out and just want to celebrate in a low key way. We watch movies and/or play games.
Ryan usually cooks a special meal. I love it!
I had so much fun stamping these fun masculine prints the other day.
Yesterday, I put them to use.
I know Father's Day is a long way off, but when the inspiration strikes you just have to go with it.
I purposely placed the glasses at the top, above the mustache, with the bow-tie underneath to mimic a man.
I used my left over pieces to create a second card for this week's Make It Monday.
This week's topic is angled backgrounds.
I placed the leftover strips with random angles back and forth and then trimmed whatever hung over the edge.
Have fun tonight and stay safe!!
See you next year ;)

Your stamping is awesome on this..love both cards Kara. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteWe do the same and for the same reason.
ReplyDeleteGreat colors on these fun guy cards! Love the stamped strips.
Happy New Year! Enjoy your cooked meal.
I'm absolutely loving your interpretation of the MIM angled cards. The solid stripe in between each layer really cuts down on the busy nature of this type of design. I loved this technique and will reuse it with a solid stripe as I feel my contribution was a little too busy. Thanks for your great idea!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Kara...fabulous cards but your take on MIM is simply fabulous! I love the black borders, so striking and so masculine!
ReplyDeleteWe stay home to celebrate too but this we decided to go out, dinner and dancing in San Francisco, should be fun!
The stamping on these panels is fabulous Kara - love the order & bow on the first one. It will be a quiet NYE for us too - we might go to a movie, but like to be home for midnight.
ReplyDeleteLove this card, great for a man card. We stay in too because of the people on the roads! Have a wonderful, healthy, safe New Year.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cool design - I especially like the first one with the big bow tie. Love those happy colors! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh I love these Kara!! Enjoy your special New Years meal. We love to stay home too!!

ReplyDeleteThis came out great Kara, love it! It's so nice when you do prep work, especially the time you save when whipping up a card! Enjoy your peaceful evening!
ReplyDeleteFantastic masculine cards! I especially love what you did with the first one.
ReplyDeleteWe almost always stay in for New Year's as well. We eat junk food and play games :-)
These are both fabulous. I love how you put all the images in their proper order. And, your take on the MIM is brilliant. I love how you added a solid strip, and copied that idea on the MIM card I am working on. Your New Years Eve sounds just like ours. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteso creative in your designs on your two cards. You are really ready for June!
ReplyDeletePerfect....love the colors....the images, the layouts!! I was in bed early last night....not a party girl! Curious if the bow is the small, medium, or large? Happy New Year!!
ReplyDeleteLove these, Kara--both are so creative and perfectly stamped. The MIM one is awesome, especially with the strips between the patterns--very cool looking!
ReplyDeleteGreat cards! Fabulous stamping and striking colour palette. The thin black strips between the angled pieces are perfect.
