WPlus9 August 2014 Release {Day 4}

Monday, August 4, 2014

Today's projects include so many of the new products being released this month.
Both prominently feature a stamped background using Papel Picado.  This set also has companion dies that I used on the project I shared on Day 1.

Papel Picado
Available 8/5/14

For this first card, I stamped the background in Ocean Drive and Mojito PURECOLOR Dye Ink.
If you start stamping in the corner it helps keep your design straight.
I finished off the card with a little stamp set called Punny Produce: Pears and Clear Cut Stackers: Pears dies.  The large pear is colored using Mojito Dye Ink and the small pear just has a bit of color sponged on the edges.  I cut the small pear again from cardstock colored with Coconut Husk Dye Ink so that I could inlay the tiny seeds.

Clear Cut Stackers: Pears
Available 8/5/14

The inside is complete with a simple image and sentiment that coordinates with the outside.

Stamps: Punny Produce Pears {available 8/5/14}, Papel Picado {available 8/5/14} // Ink: Ocean Drive Dye Ink, Mojito Dye Ink, Coconut Husk Dye Ink // Dies: Clear Cut Stackers: Pears {available 8/5/14} // Cardstock: White

For the background on this next card I chose another small image from Papel Picado and stamped it repeatedly to create a trellis-like pattern for my stacked planters from Fresh Cut Containers.
This set includes a ton of great images.  They work really with Wplus9's other Fresh Cut Floral sets.  I also can't wait to fill a pocket, from A Pocketful, with these beautiful new multi-step flowers.

 I stamped the pots in Coconut Husk Dye Ink and the flowers in Sweet Gelato and Cranberry Crush Dye Ink.  Everything is popped up at different heights to create real depth.  A bitty butterfly from Flora & Fauna 2 was drawn to the bright flowers ;) Hand Lettered Thanks stamps and dies are the finishing touch.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

  2. I love the backgrounds created with the Papel Picado stamps especially the ocean drive and mojito together - they are made for each other. I love a punny sentiment and the images are so lovely. I really like the trend of the build it style flowers but this set is amazing with all the great container. The Wplus9 hand lettered dies are the most beautiful word dies on the market
