Faithful Friends

For a long time I've wanted a paw print stamp.  I decided, finally, on this mini stamp set from PTI called, With Sympathy: Loss Of A Pet.  I wish it had more than just sympathy sentiments, but it's a start.  I think this sentiment, under the right circumstances, could be for something other than a sympathy card.  I used the Sunshine Layers die and a Serendipity Stamps Heart die to create a frame for my sentiment and stamping.

Here's sweet Piper taking a snooze this afternoon.  Luckily she just had a bath this morning and is all nice and clean.  {P.S. I am loving my new camera, Nikon D3100.  I was never able to get indoor photos this nice with my old camera}

Thanks for stopping by.  We are having friends over for pizza and board games.  We are going to play Life.  What's your favorite board game? Do you still play?  We do, but not as much as we used to.  It'll be fun because our friends have two young boys and I'm sure there will be a lot of laughter!

  1. Pretty card! I love the colour combo for the paw prints. Life is my favourite game too but Scrabble is a close second. We're big game players in our home. Fun for the whole family!

  2. Your card has style! So sweet to see your dog all comfy on the couch. We have my brother's family and my mom coming over tonight to play games. We get together every weekend and play a marble game that is made up (sort of like aggravation) or we play a card game called hand and foot. Great photos, Kara!

  5. Fabulous card--love how you have combined the pawprints with a heart. And, such a cute picture of your dog. She is getting big--she looks a little bit like she could be cousins with my dog. Thanks so much for playing along at CASology this week.

  8. Piper looks happy and cozy! My Atticus is currently sprawled on our bed under the fan, cooling off after his walk. :) This is a great PTI set. Sadly I used it a lot when I worked at the animal hospital. The paw print is a good size though and I think you're right - the sentiments can be used for other occasion. Fabulous card. Thanks for playing along with CASology this week!

  10. Oh, I love this card! We don't have a dog, but we've been dogsitting for friends over the winter and we've fallen in love with Lucy. It will be hard when her owners come to take her home....
    I love board games! My favourite is Settlers of Catan. I wish my family wanted to play it more often.... ;)
