A Wonderful Reason To Smile

 

Papertrey Ink is celebrating 8 years.  To celebrate they are releasing new products and hosting many challenges.  Today's card is for a Maile inspired card challenge.  Maile has great timeless style and I have been pinning her projects for years.  I went back into my Friday Inspiration File on Pinterest and found {THIS CARD} from 2012.  It's design is just as beautiful and fresh as it was 3 years ago. 

Maile Belles Returns Challenge

 

I adhered strips of colored cardstock in varying widths to a piece of lightweight white cardstock.  I adhered two of the clouds on top of that and die cut the whole thing with my Sunshine Layers die.  I die cut a piece of vellum with the same die to layer underneath. After that, I added more die cut clouds in white cardstock and vellum, tucked in a felt sun behind my clouds, stamped my sentiment, and embellished with a few rhinestones.
