Just A Note

This week's Make It Monday technique is blending colored pencils using baby oil or odorless mineral spirits.  I use the mineral spirits and it works really well to blend the color of the pencil on your image.  I've used this technique on both the flower and the leaves.

After coloring the images I cut them out and then ran them through my cuttlebug with the script embossing folder for Embellish Magazine's embossed flowers challenge.

I chose square for this week's Mojo Monday sketch challenge.
Whew! That's a lot for one card, but it just worked out that way!
Thanks for coming by.
See you later!

Cardstock: PTI Vintage Cream, Kraft, First Fruits Grid Paper
Stamps: PTI In Bloom, Happy Trails
Ink: Memento Black
Other: Embossing Folder, Saddle Stitch Ribbon, Colored Pencils, Odorless Mineral Spirits, Gems, Corner Rounder Punch

  12. Yowza! Look at that embossing! So unique. (Also, if you're ever in a pinch, Goo Gone works well in place of mineral spirits for blending colored pencils, too. Weird, but true. :))
