300 Weeks Of Inspiration Challenge

Friday, February 3, 2017

TGIF! It's here, the 300th week of the Friday Inspiration File!  Every 100 weeks it has become tradition that I challenge you to go through The File, find a project and use it to spark your creativity.  Your final product can be an exact copy or contain only one element of the original.  It's up to you!

Once you find that special project that inspires you, create your card and link it up below.  Just by linking up your project you are entered to win a $30 GC to your favorite online stamp store.  You must include in your post: who's project inspired you, what week they were added to the file and a link back to their blog.

My card today was heavily inspired by Torico from Stamp Paradise.  I added this card on Week #295.  I loved the white embossing on kraft with a hint of Copic coloring. I've used a few  Papertrey Ink supplies on this one.  A stamp set called In Bloom for my flowers and leaves, Polka Dot Basics for the white dots and Headline Alphabet Dies for part of my main sentiment.  All other supplies are linked below {affiliate links used}

So it's as simple as that... Visit The Friday Inspiration File, Get Inspired and Create.  Link up your projects here from now until 2/9/17.  That gives you a week.  I hope you can join in.  Remember to link back to the one who inspired you.  One entry will be randomly selected to win the $30 GC.  I will contact the winner directly as well as announce it here and on Instagram.

If you don't have a blog, feel free to post on Instagram and link that here.  Just make sure you tag the person and give them credit for inspiring you!

Good Luck!

Friday, January 2, 2015

Today marks the 200th week of the Friday Inspiration File. I have been sharing my favorite projects for almost 4 years.   I love visiting your blogs week after week and I'm never disappointed.  You all have so much talent.  I want everyone to know how great you are!

This is my CASE of  Debby's {Lime Doodle} card.

Just like the 100 Week milestone, I want to celebrate with a fun challenge and a giveaway.  The challenge is to choose one pin from The File and create a project; you can CASE it or just be inspired by it.  Today I have two cards to share that I CASEd from two of  my 2014 Favorites, but you can go all the way back to week 1 if you want!

This is my CASE of Shirley's {Shirley-bee's Stamping Stuff} card.

After you have created your project and posted it to your blog, come back and link it up.  Make sure you let us know which project you've chosen and who created it.  Include a link in your blog post.  You will have one week to join the fun.

And the prize..?   I will choose one participant, at random, to receive a $20USD gift certificate to YOUR favorite stamp company!  This is not a sponsored giveaway.  It's a gift from me to say, Thank You.  Thanks for sharing your talent and your kind words of encouragement with me all of these years!
Have fun browsing The File and choosing your project

{Festive} Ink Pad Designs

Monday, November 11, 2013

Hello
I have a card today for two challenges.

Using my ink pads and a Tim Holtz stencil, I swiped ink onto the paper directly from the ink pad.  Because the stencil material is pretty thick, only small portions of the ink pad make contact with the paper creating thin lines.  After swiping one color I lifted the stencil, shifted it over slightly, and then swiped the second color.  I love the serenity of the colors and design so I decided to leave the front free of a sentiment.  Instead, I chose to embellish and add a sentiment to the inside.

Thanks for coming by.
Have a great week!

Simple Snowflake {& FIF #142}

Friday, November 8, 2013

Hi!
I have a very simple one to share today.
I love blue so it's not hard to be inspired by this photo.

The snowflakes are die cut from paper that was colored with a mixture of distress paint and color shine spray.  It is very shimmery in person.  I embossed the snowflakes with Lacey Layers to add the lace element of the inspiration photo.

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a wonderful weekend!

CAS(E) this sketch! {Guest Designer}

Thursday, November 7, 2013

I'm so excited to be this week's guest designer for CAS(E) this sketch!
I love participating in challenges and this is one of my favorites.
A lot of masking on this card.  I used copy paper as my mask so that I could see through it.  I wanted to line up the different directions of stamped lines the best I could.
I added a strip of black cardstock where the stamping met just to keep it clean and also add clear definition between those stamped areas.

I made a second version.
Neither is perfect, but I really love the results!

Thanks so much for stopping by.
I hope you'll participate in this week's CAS(E) this sketch! challenge!

Feathered Leaf

Friday, October 11, 2013

To create the texture on the leaf I stamped a feather into several different ink colors before stamping on the die cut leaf.  I added a little color to the edges, with brown ink, using my daubers. The sentiment was selectively inked to create two lines of text rather than one.

Thanks so  much for stopping by.
Have a wonderful weekend!
