Cookies And Cocoa

Saturday, November 10, 2018

Good Morning! Today I have two cards I created using the new Cookies And Cocoa set from WPlus9.  I used the adorable sandwich cookie in the set that I colored to resemble Oreos. Yum!

I stamped this sentiment in the center of my card panel in brown ink.  I stamped it also partially on my mug.  I positioned the mug over the sentiment and adhered it once it was perfectly lined up.

After that I added all of my cookies around the base of the mug and sentiment.  To add some color and make the design more festive I added several holly and berry clusters from the Merry And Bright stamp set.  It's such and awesome Christmas/Holiday stamp set and it is marked down in the WPlus9 store right now!

Holiday {Thank You} Village

Tuesday, January 9, 2018

Every year I like to send out a few Holiday Thank You cards. I don't think they are necessary, but I really like to send them to people who I can't thank for a gift in person, like my aunt and uncle.  They live too far away for us to spend Christmas together and although I thank them on the phone for their gift I feel like a handmade card is just that little bit extra!

I made this little village scene with WPlus9 Holiday Houses and the Landscape Border Dies.  I created the night sky by sponging on some distress ink behind a window cut with the Basic Label Die.  The sentiment was created with the Basic Greetings Die and Basic Labels stamp set.  All of these awesome supplies are linked below.  If you'd like a little more info on how I created this card visit the WPlus9 Design Blog.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! We finally got above freezing today.  It's 42 degrees F and actually feels comfortable.  Never thought I'd say that!  See you soon.

A Happy New Year

Monday, January 1, 2018

Hello! Happy New Year!  We have just been puttering around the house today taking down Christmas decorations and doing other chores that need to be done.  Next year though, I want to host a New Year's Day brunch.  My friend mentioned she was going to one this morning and I thought that sounded like a fun way to wrap up the holidays.  Nothing formal, just come on over type thing.

I have just a few more cards that I made in 2017 to share with you.  This one was I shared on the WPlus9 Blog a few weeks ago.  I made it for some friends who came to our Christmas party and brought me the most beautiful hostess gift, 6 crystal glasses with Christmas trees cut into the sides of them! I did not expect hostess gifts and definitely not one as beautiful as that.  I thought a very special Christmas/ Thank You card was in order.

What are you up to today? How do you typically spend New Year's Day?  If you want to check out the original post and read a bit more about how it was created you can do so HERE.  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I am excited for a brand new year of cardmaking!

Warm Bear Hugs

Thursday, December 21, 2017

It's the first day of winter! A nice warm bear hug sounds good right about now.  It definitely feels like winter.  The temps are low and we've already had a few snowfalls.

I pulled out this WPlus9 set called Holiday Hugs to create a few Christmas cards.  I shared them originally on the WPlus9 Design Blog so stop by there if you'd like to read a little more about how these cute window cards came together.

I love minimally colored images.  I think there are striking when stamped in black with a little pop of color.

These cards came together so quickly if you're in need of any last minute cards! Thanks so much for stopping by. See you later.
