Clear Cards

Thursday, April 30, 2009

Clear cards pose their own set of challenges. They are a lot of fun to work with, but expect to make some mistakes in the beginning. I used StazOn ink on this card. I have had the best luck with it because it dries so quickly.
Tip: If you make a mistake with it, StazOn cleaner and a cloth will take the ink off the acetate.

I'm giving this one to my mom for Mother's Day. I had hoped to get some Mother's Day cards into my shop this week, but I haven't been able to find the time. I've been making so many family birthday cards. We have 6 birthdays in our family next week!

I Won

Tuesday, April 28, 2009

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, our PTN hosted a silent auction. It's really next week , but since we will be starting standardized testing, they moved ours up a week. I put my tickets in for stamps, of course, Barnes&Noble gift card, and some exercise stuff. I won the stamps. I was so excited, I very rarely win anything. They made a really nice day for us. The auction and a wonderful luncheon was provided for us.

Another new card in my Etsy shop. I love this Basic Grey paper line called Porcelain.

A set of Teacher Appreciation Minis. I know some kids see a speech therapist, an OT/PT teacher as well as their classroom teacher. With this set each teacher can receive his or her own handmade Thank You.

The weather is supposed to be beautiful this weekend! Enjoy it.

Letter Box

Wednesday, April 15, 2009

Using the PaperTrey Ink template , I made this box holding 6 cards. 2 Thank You, 2 Happy Birthday, and 2 Thinking of You. Instead of tying it together this time, I decided to use a clasp from Karen Foster Design that I have had forever.

After all the cards have been sent, this box can be used to hold letters, notes, photos, etc.
