Inspired by All The Little Things Guest Designer

Saturday, May 14, 2016

Hello! Today I'm guest designing for Inspired By All The Little Things challenge blog!  It's a fun challenge based on an inspiration photo.  I was able to choose my own inspiration photo and I chose this awesome triangular felt wall posted on Dwell.  I chose to pull out this geometric WPlus9 set called Twenty Fifteen.  It's designed as a 2015 New Year's set, but it's so much more!

I created three patterns the same way and in the same color scheme, but each uses a different sized triangle from the set.  I treated each stamped panel differently when designing the cards.  For the design I'm sharing here, I die cut the panel with the large stitched rectangle die from the SSS Stitched Rectangle die set.  I die cut the center of the stamped panel with a stitched rectangle that was 2 sizes smaller.  I layered the middle sized die cut in between so that the stamped pattern lines up when all layered up.

Visit Inspired By All The Little Things to full card above.

I pulled the colors from the inspiration photo and stamped them in Wild Mango, Pumpkin Spice, Silver Lining, Fairy Dust, and Black PURE Color Dye Ink.  I stamped the colors in a random pattern and opted to leave some spaces open.

Visit the WPlus9 Blog to see project below.

I finished off each card with a different die cut stacked sentiment from WP9 Sending Hoping Wishing set.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you'll visit the WPlus9 Blog to check out my project and Inspired By All The Little Things Challenge Blog to play along!

I decided to create a tag to match several Christmas cards I had  made during the recent WPlus9 release.  I thought they would be great for gift giving this season.  Now all I have to do is put a gift in a bag, tie on a tag, and sign my card!

Wplus9 October 2014 Holiday Release

Sunday, October 5, 2014

Good Morning!
I've got a few more cards today using the new WPlus9 release products.

This first one uses the new Winter Woodland set.  I created my scene inside a previously released snowflake die called Simple Snowflake.  I stamped my sentiment using Snowflake Backdrops in Cranberry Crush ink.  I framed it out with the Holiday Apertures die.  That's a must have die set that will likely never leave my desk.

My next card also uses several of the pieces cut by the Holiday Apertures dies.  On the small stitched rectangle I stamped the large snowflake stamp from Snowflake Backdrops.  Before stamping, I inked up the stamp with two colors of ink: Lake House and Nautical Navy.  I then ran it through my Xyron face down so that the adhesive would be on the front.  I added Prisma glitter to the front and burnished it with my finger.  I did the same thing to the scarf from the Winter Woodland die set.

After adding the scarf to the deer from the Stag Trio die I adhered him to the front of the card using foam adhesive.
I love the serenity and simplicity of it so I decided to add my sentiment to the inside instead.  I stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment from Hand Lettered Holiday in Nautical Navy ink.

I hope you have enjoyed this release as much as I have!
Thanks so much for all of your kind comments and I hope you enjoy your new WPlus9 stamps and dies!
