Floral Fantasy

Monday, May 7, 2018

I just realized, as I sat down to type this, that there is almost no stamping on these cards.  That's a rarity for me these days.  I just love these though.  The colors of Papertrey Ink cardstock paired with this fabulous Altenew Floral Fantasy die set is just stunning.

I layered up these flowers using dimensional adhesive.  I decided to put the darkest color on the bottom, the lightest color in the middle, and the mid tone on the top.  I loved the way that looked!

I played around with several placement options for my trio of flowers, but in the end decided to split them up and create two card designs.  They all looked beautiful together, but I felt they overwhelmed the card.  I think a larger canvas, a scrapbook layout, could handle it and look beautiful.

I used part of the 'Thank You' die cut letters to spell out just the word 'You' and then added the secondary sentiment from WPlus9 No One Else coordinating stamp set stamped on PTI's Double Ended Banner Die.

On this second card I used the circle from WP9 Dreamcatcher to ground my flower, leaves and sentiment.  I added the die cut 'Thank You' from Concord and 9th's Bitty Thank You die.

All of my panels were cut using Simon Says Stamp's Stitched Rectangle Die.  I couldn't live without that one!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Hope you enjoyed!

  1. Gorgeous--love how you layered the colors! Doing all the die cuts looks like a really fun concept. And both designs are fabulous!

  2. Above comment is mine OnPapillonWings.com--don't know how it posted like that. I had to try several times since I kept getting an error notice.
