It Ain't Easy {Using} Green

Saturday, September 13, 2014

Aside from leaves, stems, or grass green is not a color I often use.
What about you?  Do you reach for green as the main color in your design?

I decided today should be green's day.  I started out by using the Lattice Frame Die as a stencil to apply some modeling paste to my cardstock.  I let that dry and then added color and water.  I used Mowed Lawn and Peeled Paint distress ink.  When that was dry I added black splatters of Heidi Swapp Color Shine.  From that piece I die cut my circle and feathers.

Everything that was die cut from black cardstock got a coating of clear Wink of Stella.

It's an overcast rainy day here today.  We were going to go out tonight, but maybe we'll get some movies and stay in instead.

  6. This is so beautiful Kara. Very striking. As for me, I don't know that I used green as a focal point very often.

  7. Fantastic card, Kara. Yes, I use green. I love green. I probably have more shades of green ink than any other color.
