Go Big!

Saturday, February 12, 2011

Today's challenge at Papertrey Ink is to use something super-sized on your project.  I decided to super size the whole thing!  The card itself is 5.5x8.5 inches.  I clear heat embossed the largest leaf image from Turning a New Leaf.  I stamped the the large rectangle from Take Note in brown ink.  I also clear embossed a long text strip from BB Text Style.  Then I went on the hunt for my largest sentiment.  I chose this one from YOF Violets.  I also chose the largest button from my stash.

Adding a few more 'thank you' sentiments and I've got another entry for the 1st Make It Monday challenge too!

This one will have to be hand delivered......don't think I have an envelope this big!

Supplies not mentioned in post:

Carstock/Paper: PTI Kraft, Bitty Dot Basics in Melon Berry
Ink: PTI Melon Berry, Memento Brown, Embossing Ink
Other: MS Doily, PTI Twine, Fine Linen Ribbon, Vintage Cream and Melon Berry Button, Clear Embossing Powder, Corner Rounder Punch, Circle Punch

  3. This whole card is so good, Kara. You covered both challenges and with such imaginative creativity. I love the Take Note large rectangle. I never know what to do with that one. I love that you used the "biggest" of everything for this one. Great job.

  9. So creative - love the card size (Walmart does set envelopes this big in the office supply isle). Love your entire layout - sort of C&S, but not really. Clever doily treatment - reminds me of an antique cirdle pin.
