These colors are so pretty. They make me think of sorbet and are perfect for a Valentine's Day Card. This pocket card is so fun and easy to make. I made one a long time ago for my mother-in-law using fall colors and filled the pocket with real fall leaves I had collected. She still has it. You can fill the pocket however you like, but obviously you need to determine if it will be hand delivered(like my fall card) or mailed like this heart one could be. Enjoy and good luck to all who are participating this week!

Color Challenge #37
Thursday, January 8, 2009

Great colors again this week from Kristina. My friend had her baby and I wanted to send her a congrats card that went along with the announcement set I gave her. These colors were perfect. I also wanted to make another slider card. Here is my card for this week's challenge.

How pretty is this? I love this idea from Resurrection Fern. I would love to make these, but with the weather we've been having I don't think they would stand a chance. How-to and more pretty pictures on her website. Check it out.
They Always Like The Box Best Anyway!

For Christmas this year we decided to give one of my nephews art supplies. I picked up these crayon rocks and some other eco and human-friendly art supplies. After receiving all those huge boxes for our cabinets I got to thinking. I thought it would be so much fun to make something that he could draw, write, paint on, play with and IN, and then when he is done, recycle. Ryan and I made this house complete with dormer and window box. We brought it over on Christmas Eve. It was a hit. He and I colored and drew on that little house for hours. In the end it became Tetsa's house (his little stuffed animal).
We also baked and decorated cookies for Santa, tracked his movement on the Internet, and learned a bit about all of the places Santa had visited. A great way to spend Christmas Eve.
