Hello!
This month it is my turn to host the 12 Kits of Occasions.
I have put together a kit for everyone filled with the colors of fall.
I wanted to include things in the kit that could be used not only for cards, but that could also be used to create elements of your Thanksgiving table!
After die-cutting leaves from vellum I decided to include the negative so that it could be used as a stencil.
That's how I have used it on this card. I sponged on the color using my little daubers.
I used a really pretty card by Shari as inspiration for my card layout.
After making several cards, I decided to get to work on my Thanksgiving place settings.
I wanted to create a more masculine table this year using simple burlap, browns, and golds.
After all, there will be more men than women at the table this year.
Thanks so much for coming by.
Make sure to visit the 12 Kits Blog to see what everyone else has done with the kit.
I also have a special giveaway for you and you'll need to head over there to enter.
Good Luck!
All kit contents listed on the 12 Kits blog.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous projects here Kara! Oh my gosh I love the first one with the sponged leaves, just beautiful! Your place setting is beautiful as well,I forgot to use those ,now you have given me great ideas . Thanks for a beautiful kit this month.
ReplyDeleteFirst off...thank you for the fabulous kit that gave me HOURS of fun during my vacation. When I saw your projects this morning, my jaw dropped...especially with that beautifully created and photographed table setting! Just beautiful Kara. I also loved the way you used all three of your die cut words on cards that really highlight each word. Thank you again...it was a great kit!
ReplyDeleteHoly wow! What a fantastic kit! I love the combination of elements you pulled together, and the place settings are wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are all so gorgeous, Kara! I especially love the last one with the glassine bag-- so pretty!
ReplyDeleteYou put me to shame, Kara! I've hosted Thanksgiving dinner for up to 20 people every year for almost 40 years and I've never once treated them to such a beautiful place setting as you've created! It's never too late though, right? I'll blow their socks clean off!
ReplyDeleteAll your cards are beautiful, too, but I have to say that first vellum leaf "grateful" card stole the show for me!! Hugs, Darnell
One...
ReplyDeletethank you for such a gorgeous kit!
I still have so much left I can use after seeing everyone's gorgeous creations...

WOW!!
You put me to shame! :(
Gorgeous cards...
but they always are...
and now I know what to do with the mask ;)...
but that table setting...
THUD!!
It's simple perfection...
and I die!!
LOVE it!! :)
ADORED your kit! And i was so anxious to see how you used it. Everything is just AMAZING! I absolutely love the first one with the sponged leaves. That's something I really want to try. I tried one leaf using a piece of sponge but want to get some daubers as I think they will work much better. You did such awesome card designs with the die cut words and the place settings elements are perfection! Thanks again for a fantastic month!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for such a fantastic kit. I had such fun playing with it, and still have quite a bit left. I love all your projects, but the one that I find the most striking is the first card. Now, I know what I am supposed to do with those pieces of vellum. Very cool that the word 'grateful' appears suspended like that.
ReplyDeleteI am in love with ALL of these Kara, but the second card has won me over as the fave!!
ReplyDeleteTerrific looking kit Kara - love the cards, but the place setting pieces are my favorites!
ReplyDeleteOh, the soft & subtle look of your leaves is exquisite, and love the way you split your layers & added your message "loosely." Stamping over a die cut & getting a lined up properly isn't easy, but you made it look so. I'm so thankful for all your inspiration as all three cards are beautiful. And now on to your place settings ~ fabulous! What a super kit you provided!
ReplyDeleteWow! Wow! Wow! Every single card is GORGEOUS! Love them all Kara and the place cards etc with the burlap are stunning! Your kit is amazing! I love all the beauty I am seeing! :)
ReplyDeleteI love what everybody has done with your kits!
ReplyDeleteYour cards are wonderful! I love the different ways you have used the diecuts. And those beautiful leaves on burlap are gorgeous!
My oh my...Kara, this was one amazing kit you put together and sent out! I loved very single piece of it. I love your sweet table setting pieces, that burlap bag is so sweet to hold treats and your napkin rings are amazing...I an sure your family will be in awe of your table this year. Your cards are amazing as well, I love your first card with the stenciled leaves, I will be giving this one a try. And that grateful is just lovely with them. All of your cards are amazing Kara...thank you again for a fabulous kit!
ReplyDeleteKara, I have studied every one of your cards closely. These are all just fabulous! The sponged leaves on your Grateful card and the design of your next two are just perfect. Your entire place setting decor is very inspirational...almost makes me wish I was hosting this year :)
ReplyDeleteI have a question: your use of First a Fruits on card #3 uses two sizes of the leaf image. I have that set and it only contains the larger image. Is the smaller leaf (stamped over Tin Types) from a different set?
Thanks for all the inspiration!!
What a gorgeous autumn kit and such beautiful projects you've made with it! I absolutely love the masculine textures of your Thanksgiving ensemble, especially the burlap bag. You've staged it all so beautifully for your photos, too! I was excited to see that you'd included the leaf stencil, but I have mostly dye inks that don't work well with sponging. After seeing your card, it's clear I need to invest in some Distress inks! Love the split panel on that card and the shading on the leaves. Your other two cards are fantastic, too. The stamping behind the die cut words is such a great detail to draw your eye to the sentiment. Thanks for the wonderful kit and inspiration, Kara!
ReplyDeleteKara, I had so much fun with your beautiful kit last month! I can't believe all the gorgeous things you created for your holiday spread! Thanks for putting so much thought and care into your package!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my word, I am so glad to be playing kit catch up like Amy up above me, ;)!! That first leaf card is AMAZING!! I can't even believe all that detail from stenciling!! Beautiful layouts on the die cut word cards, I love the big chocolate ribbon over the bit of sparkle. Your burlap table setting must have gotten rave reviews last week, it's absolutely stunning! ;)!!
