On The Cutting Room Floor

Sunday, August 4, 2013

Today I decided to share a card that ended up on the cutting room floor.
I was working with a sketch from CAS(E) this sketch!
This was the first card I made, but decided I wanted you use my distress paints instead and ended up making the card I submitted........Stamping With Distress Paints

Usually, when a card doesn't turn out the way I had planned,
I cut it up and salvage any reusable parts.  Although I'm not entirely happy with how these particular ink colors look when they overlap, I think it's still a sweet card I can give to my husband.

What about you?
When a card doesn't turn out the way you had hoped
do you keep it or trash it?

Cardstock: PTI White, Hawaiian Shores
Stamps: PTI Heart Prints
Ink: PTI Hawaiian Shores, Hibiscus Burst, Orange Zest, Versafine Onyx

  1. This is great, Kara! I'm sure your husband will love it!
Hmmm, when a card doesn't turn out the way I'd hoped.... I usually leave it on my craft table for a while, in hopes that I'll be inspired to fix it. I have two there right now, leftovers from the last PTI blog hop.
If I can't figure something out though, I'll probably salvage what I can (white space cardstock, brads, buttons, etc. and then toss them.

  2. I put it in my stash and sometimes I still use it, once and awhile I go through my stash and toss out cards (after salvaging parts of them).

  5. This is great. I can't believe it did not make your cut. If I don't like a card, I usually pull it apart to reuse the supplies.

What do I do with boo-boos?
Usually I post them on my blog and don't realize how bad they are till afterwards...
I then tear them apart and claim to have never them! ;)
