Today I have used the bunnies from Wishing You in the hot air balloon from Going Places.  I turned the bunnies into a mother and daughter and the sentiment from Wishing You Sentiments is the perfect fit.  I used several dies from the Gift Card Layers die set to create the card front, the starry panel, and the sentiment panel.  To create my striped background I used a stencil from Heidi Swapp and sponged on Little Piggy, Pumpkin Spice, and Hayride dye ink.

We're getting closer! One more day until the release.  Today I am venturing a little towards Fall.  Not too far, it is still Summer after all! I wanted to use this card to showcase {almost} all of the beautiful new colors in the Autumn Splendor PURE Color Dye Ink Collection.  It consists of 6 new, beautiful colors!

To start with, this card front was cut with the large stitched rectangle die from the Gift Card Layers Die Collection.  It is the perfect size for the front of an A2 sized card.  On top of that I have layered the tag die from Love Showers Layers.  I die cut it from white cardstock, but created custom colored cardstock by blending the new Falling For Blue ink all over it. I left the little circle intact because I didn't want it to function as a tag. I stamped a beautiful sentiment from Grateful Greetings near the top.

 

 

I embellished the bottom with Autumn Leaves stamped in Gala Red, Hayride, Pumpkin Spice, and Last Leaf.  Sprinkled around a few enamel dots and tied off a yellow button in the center to finish it off.  Want more? Have you ever taken a ride in a hot air balloon?  I want to so badly, but my fear has gotten the best of me.  We've even gone to balloon festivals where you can float up, still tethered to the ground, and I haven't been able to do it....yet!  One day.....

 

Today we are continuing the fun with more projects from the new August release.  I have a card to share featuring the Going Places Stamps and Dies paired with the Starry Night Background Die.

Perfect together!  

I love the Starry Night Background Die because it doesn't cut an outline which means you can cut those stars anywhere on your project.  Here I have cut them from the center of a card panel cut with the Love Mom Layers rounded rectangle die.  I have backed the stars with a piece of white cardstock that has been colored with the same Copics used to color the hot air balloon.

I have layered up three balloons and three raccoons because I just love the dimension!  I added those adorable bows.  This set has the cutest details!

Today's cards feature Going Places, Grateful Greetings, and Wishing You Sentiments.  Going Places includes a bunch of adorable critters and I wanted to use them all, on one card! These animals are designed to fit into the hot air balloon.  The dies have some detailed cutting lines so that their arms can be on the outside of the balloon basket while their bodies are inside.  I have projects to share later where I have used them that way, but today I wanted to try something different.  My first card uses a partial die cutting technique.

 

 

 As you can see in the picture above, I placed all of the animal dies on a piece of post-it tape so that the bottom cutting line was below the tape.  This way when I position the dies on the cutting plates I can line them up with the post-it tape.  I can make sure there will be no pressure below the tape and the bottoms won't cut.  Once I ran it through my Cuttlebug, I stamped the critters.  I colored them all with Copics and added accessories from the Going Places set.  Love that adorable tiny cupcake!

I tucked a strip of black cardstock under their arms and die cut the panel with the Love Mom Layers die.  I adhered the panel on top of a black piece of cardstock cut with the same die.  I added adhesive everywhere except behind the critters.

 

 

 

Finally, I stamped the greeting from Grateful Greetings. I love sentiment sets like this with large, stand alone greetings. The fonts are beautiful and you could use these with so many stamp sets.  I can't wait to use them with  Watercolored Anemones!

For this card I wanted to use the Going Places hot air balloons without the critters.  It took a long time, but I used a paper piecing technique to fill in all the sections of the balloon and basket. I used 4 different patterns from a paper collection in my stash. Once all the papers were in place, I die cut the whole thing and a piece of kraft cardstock with the Sunshine Layers Die.  I also cut a piece of the patterned paper using the Love Mom Layers Die and layered them all together.  I added a simple sentiment from Wishing You Sentiments stamped onto a small stitched rectangle from the Gift Card Layers die collection.

Smile {Autumn Splendor}

 

Hey!  Didn't think you'd see me again so soon, huh?

I made this card a few days ago and since it uses some of the new ink colors from this upcoming WPlus9 release, I thought I'd share it now!

This is the new Autumn Splendor Collection of dye inks.  The colors are perfect for fall and really add to the existing collection of PURE Color Dye Inks already available.  On my project today I have mixed a few old and few new colors and you can see how beautifully they work together.  I have used Ocean Drive, Wild Mango, Hayride, Pumpkin Spice, and Black.  The new inks will be available Friday, August 14th.

 

 

I die cut flowers from the Flower Doodles Die Collection and added the ink colors to them using sponge daubers, even to the 'smile' die cut.  I layered the flower die cuts onto a circle cut with one of the Love Mom Layers dies and cut off whatever hung past the edge.  I adhered that to my card front, stamped a few random dots from Dream Believer, and attached the die cut word.

 Yay ! It's finally here. 

We had to wait a little longer than usual, but I think it was worth the wait!  I decided to start with this card because it features so many of the new products on one project.

  I sponged two colors of blue onto white cardstock to create an evening sky.  I started at the bottom with Nautical Navy ink and from the top with Falling For Blue ink, from the new Autumn Splendor Collection.  The colors blend so beautifully.

Once my backdrop was complete, I die cut the panel using the Sunshine Layers Die and I started to build my scene.  I stamped and die cut this sweet couple, the moon, and the speech bubble from the new Wishing You stamp set using the companion dies and colored them with Copic markers. The cloud stamp and dies are from the new Going Places stamp and die collection.  I stamped a few leaves from Autumn Leaves in the new Last Leaf dye ink.  I tucked the bunnies into the greenery and added a sentiment from Wishing You Sentiments stamped onto a small rectangle from the Gift Card Layers Dies.

 

I finished it off with a sprinkling of stars cut with the

Starry Night Background Die.
