A Sprinkle Of Salt {Two Ways}

Sunday, August 25, 2013

I used the salting technique two ways on this card.  The Fillable Frames #10 was die cut from a sheet of Rustic White cardstock that was water colored with all 5 ink colors and then salted.
The ice cream scoops were die cut from a sheet of paper that had been stamped with a Green Thumb flower stamp, dotted with white glue, sprinkled with salt, and finally water colored.

I have a few more to share with you today!

Stamps: PTI Sweet As Can Be, PTI Green Thumb
Ink: PTI Summer Sunrise, Melon Berry, Berry Sorbet, Terracotta Tile, Orange Zest

Stamp-A-Faire Closing Ceremony

Sunday, August 25, 2013

I finally threw in the towel last night, around 7:30, after making a big, salty mess;)
I'm up bright and early to work on some of the challenges I didn't get to finish yesterday, like:

and.....There's a Blog Hop Today!

I'd better get started!

Coffee {Tea} Staining

Saturday, August 24, 2013

Welcome back!

This time I experimented with coffee and a few materials.  I used some material and resist paper that came in a Faber Castell Gelato Kit.  I soaked half of the material in a cup of coffee for about 2 hours.  I brushed the coffee onto the resist paper and let it soak in.  After the material was mostly dry I brushed some coffee onto my text stamp and 'stamped' the coffee text onto the banners.
I also brushed some coffee onto the Heidi Swapp Resist Heart.  I liked the results, but not for this project.  I'll save it for later!

A fun technique!

Make Your Own Embellishments

Sunday, July 22, 2012

At it again!  I should be getting ready to go to a Baptism, but I had to finish All of the challenges!!
For this last one, Homemade Embellishments, I decided to make one of Melissa's bows.  I loved the impressed butterfly die technique so much I used it again.

Ok, gotta go!
I look forward to checking out and commenting on your SAF projects tonight!

All products PTI except Recollections Resin Rose.

Goodnight

Saturday, July 21, 2012

Well, my craft room is certainly a mess after today.
Who am I kidding...I already cleaned it up!
I have to say I had a great time, but I have to throw in the towel.  I'm beat.  The last challenge, Homemade Embellishments, will have to wait until tomorrow.
Goodnight!

Card Set Challenge

Saturday, July 21, 2012

I chose to duplicate Jess's set because it is beautiful and truly quick and easy.  I loved embossing the butterfly.  After watching her video I saw the exact sandwich she used and tried it.  Worked perfectly for me!

All I did was change out one of the colors and the packaging.  I don't sew so I just needed to make it work for me.  Love the idea of including the stamps too.  And the stickers for the envelope closure......so cute:)

Almost at the end.  Are you tired?  I am.
I have had a lot of fun today.
