Good morning! I have a project coming to the WPlus9 Blog on the first of the month. Today's project gives a little peek at that project because it was made from some of the leftovers. I think you'll be surprised by how different that project is though! I'll have to wait a dew more days until I can show you!
I've been loving the projects I have seen lately with a design in threes, like this one from Donna. Luckily I had enough flowers from Watercolored Anemones left over to give it a try. I die cut three small circles from the Love Mom Layers Die set. I attached a flower and leaves to each circle. I wanted to position them on a panel stamped with a sentiment. I chose the 'thank you' stamp from Basic Labels and used Sweet Gelato ink. It was too bold of a choice, but with a little vellum to soften it, it was perfect.
The background was simple to stamp. I drew one pencil guide line from corner to corner. I started my stamping using that line as a guide. Once that first straight line of stamping was put down it was easy to continue stamping from the center out. I erased the pencil line when I was done stamping and my ink had a minute to dry.
The 'thanks' die cut from Basic Greetings matches the stamped font perfectly! I die cut it from black cardstock and adhered it to the center circle along with a stamped sentiment from Basic Labels.
A few enamel dots balance the amount of black in the design. Thanks so much for stopping by today!
