Hello! I'm on the WPlus9 Blog today sharing a card and another little tip for getting your creativity jump started! When I created it I started by placing all of the sentiments from Unconditionally on an acrylic block and stamping them as a background. Once all that care was taken to place the stamps the way I wanted them I couldn't stamp just one. I stamped multiple potential card fronts. As I explain on the WP9 Blog, I knew I wanted stamp this background, but beyond that I wasn't sure what I wanted to do next.
The card on the WP9 blog is stamped in black ink, this one was stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder. I added color with several Distress Inks in shades of pink and red.
When the panel was dry I pulled out my stash of die cuts that hadn't made their way onto a previous project. Placing these pieces on my background it became clear how I wanted to embellish it. This adorable elephant from Unforgettable was already stamped, but not colored. When I moved him around the stamped panel I loved how it could look like that little heart was coming from his trunk. I colored him with some Copics that coordinated with the colors on the card already.
Love him!
Thanks so much for coming by.
