WPlus9 + Ellen Hutson {Mix It Up Challenge}

Thursday, October 1, 2015

Hey Guys!
 I'm so excited to join Ellen Hutson today to kick off their October 1st Mix It Up Challenge!  This month's challenge is mixing Essentials By Ellen stamps and dies with...WPlus9.  I was thrilled to have the opportunity to choose a stamp and die from Essentials By Ellen to work with.  I chose Got Candy? and it's coordinating die set.

For my first card I used my copic markers to create a pointillism effect, entirely colored with dots.  I started by masking the pumpkins to create a whole patch with just two pumpkin stamps.  Using my copics I added colored dots starting with the darkest color.  Then I switched to the  mid color, overlapping the dark slightly.  Finally, I went in with the lightest color and overlapped the dots on the entire image.  I finished it off with a beautiful sentiment from WP9 Grateful Greetings and die cut the entire panel using WP9 Sunshine Layers die.

I love how this turned out! If you do too, then you're going to like my first project for the October 2015 WPlus9 Release which starts today!
You can find that post {HERE}

For my second project, I paired EH Got Candy? with WP9 Pocketful.  Pocketful has been a long time favorite of mine.  Just one of the most clever designs.  When Dawn released this set there was nothing else like it on the market!  I colored the pumpkins with copics, tucked them in the pocket, and backed them with the WP9 Starry Night Background die.  Here, though, I used it as an embossing plate.

I added some fun sentiments from the Got Candy? set stamped onto WP9 Conversation Bubbles die cuts.

I hope you'll join the fun!  Create a project that uses WPlus9 AND Essentials By Ellen products, link it up to the Mix It Up Challenge, and you could win a $50 store certificate
Good luck and I can't wait to see what you create!
