Good Morning!  It's a chilly one here and I'm cozy on the couch with a fire and a cup of coffee.  What could be better?  The other night I had fun 'print making' in my craft room.  I used this beautiful large stamp from WPlus9  Snowflake Backdrops set.
I started by spraying some Pure Color Spray Mists onto my craft sheet.  I chose Lake House, Silver Lining, and Shimmer.  I sprayed them close to each other on the mat.  I smooshed my stamp into the puddles of mist and then stamped onto my paper.  I tried stamping on different kinds of cardstock and watercolor paper.  I stamped several generations {without adding more mist to my stamp} to see what variations I would get.  Some impressions gave a more mottled look, some gave a very crisp, defined image.  I loved them all.
For this project I chose one that was stamped onto watercolor paper.  The impression was a good mix of mottled yet still had clearly defined snowflakes.  The look was so soft that I wanted to keep any added embellishments soft as well.  I stamped and embossed on linen vellum.  It's a little more opaque than regular vellum and more white.  I added color to the embossed images with copic markers on the back and then mounted them onto a white die cut.  I added a sentiment, also embossed in white on linen vellum.
I love how soft he looks, especially in person.  I still have quite a few 'block prints' left to work with...
