It's A Guy Thing

Simon Says Stamp is running a challenge this week that focuses on guy cards.  When I sit down to create cards I often don't have a recipient in mind, unless it's last minute.  I prefer to have a stash to choose from.  Since I don't have a recipient in mind, I tend to lean towards floral images when creating birthday cards and these don't work well for the guys in my life.  This time I created specifically with the guys in mind.

Using WPlus9 Folk Art Flurries and shades of yellow and orange I stamped an overall pattern.  I used the Simon Says Stamp stitched rectangle dies to create my frame and window.

In side the window I stamped one snowflake image and my sentiment from Strictly Sentiments 5.

I loved the pink/red version of this card so much that I thought it would look great in shades of blue too!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope to be back soon with projects using a few new goodies I picked up from SSS....

  9. Love these, Kara! The snowflake images are a fabulous choice for your masculine design. Love the balloons--how do you make them look so realistic. Do you use a special technique to create the see-through look with the dark colors?

  13. Love the bold hot colors on the first - so bright and sunny. My guys open a card and look at the inside for their prize, never the out side... shame on them!
