Getting My Feet Wet

Friday, June 22, 2012

When I first get a new stamp set I don't set out to make the most creative thing I can think of.  I just want to stamp the images and see how they look.  I just need use them once and get over the excitement of a new set.  After that I can start to think about the other sets it would work with and sometimes come up with a unique way to use the set.  This is the card I made to "get my feet wet" with the set.  I liked the color combination so I decided to use it to make a quick anniversary card for my brother and his wife.

Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Wonderful card, and you certainly did more than just get your feet wet. I think I know what you mean about starting with new stamp sets. I usually go back to the DT cards, and case or simplify something, just to get a feel for the stamps.

  4. I really like this - your precision stamping and 'knowing' which hexes to leave out and still have a balanced and interesting design! Well done!
