Holiday Wishes

A nice flat, holiday card!  Love these cool colors on a winter holiday themed card.  I used PTI's new inks. My review:  Long awaited and slightly overrated.  I love having matching colors for my cardstock, ribbon, and buttons, but they do not provide solid "amazing" coverage.  Images are blotchty.  The new pad/case design is small and difficult to close securely.  I had hoped for better performance with such rigorous testing being performed before their release.  Not sure I'd order any more colors.

Have a great day!

Cardstock: PTI White, Kraft, Aqua Mist, Spring Moss
Stamps: Wplus9 Fair Isle, PTI Wonderful Words Holiday
Ink: PTI Spring Moss, Aqua Mist, Tea Dye Duo, Memento Black
Dies: Wonderful Words Holiday
Other: Snowflake Punch, Rhinestones

  11. I love your card...the "blotchy"-ness you speak about makes the card more rustic...

  13. love your card.

fyi, when I have issues w coverage, I use this tip - first ink stamp in Versamark, then in color ink pad you want to use.

    thanx for the inspiration!

  16. Okay, you're totally making me regret the fact that I didn't get this set!! Fabulous card, Kara!
And, btw, I agree with you about the inks. I thought I'd try them and did, but am not thrilled. I think I'm more of a pigment ink girl.... so I'm stocking up on the A Muse Studio inks that match PTI colours and will try the new formula for the colours that don't have a match. That's my plan anyway...

  17. I could kick myself for not getting those holiday word dies! Your card is gorgeous, especially with those fair isle stamps. I thought the same thing about the ink too. I used a little cube and my images were a little blotchy too.
