Holiday Wishes

A nice flat, holiday card!  Love these cool colors on a winter holiday themed card.  I used PTI's new inks. My review:  Long awaited and slightly overrated.  I love having matching colors for my cardstock, ribbon, and buttons, but they do not provide solid "amazing" coverage.  Images are blotchty.  The new pad/case design is small and difficult to close securely.  I had hoped for better performance with such rigorous testing being performed before their release.  Not sure I'd order any more colors.

Have a great day!

Cardstock: PTI White, Kraft, Aqua Mist, Spring Moss
Stamps: Wplus9 Fair Isle, PTI Wonderful Words Holiday
Ink: PTI Spring Moss, Aqua Mist, Tea Dye Duo, Memento Black
Dies: Wonderful Words Holiday
Other: Snowflake Punch, Rhinestones

What a beautiful card! Thanks for the review of the ink. I waited to see what people thought, and am disappointed it's not living up to the hype.

Love this card and the colors you have chosen. I bought that WPlus9 set based on your last cards with it, and have yet to ink it up! But, you are giving me lots of ideas.

I love your card...the "blotchy"-ness you speak about makes the card more rustic...

This is such an awesome card, Kara! I love the colors you've used, and I still want that stamp set from Wplus9! I also want the big word dies and stamp set (if only money grew on trees lol!)

love your card.

fyi, when I have issues w coverage, I use this tip - first ink stamp in Versamark, then in color ink pad you want to use.

thanx for the inspiration!

Well, your card is so pretty, even with the ink problems (I think it looks wonderful btw).

Okay, you're totally making me regret the fact that I didn't get this set!! Fabulous card, Kara!
And, btw, I agree with you about the inks. I thought I'd try them and did, but am not thrilled. I think I'm more of a pigment ink girl.... so I'm stocking up on the A Muse Studio inks that match PTI colours and will try the new formula for the colours that don't have a match. That's my plan anyway...

I could kick myself for not getting those holiday word dies! Your card is gorgeous, especially with those fair isle stamps. I thought the same thing about the ink too. I used a little cube and my images were a little blotchy too.

Such a gorgeous card, Kara! I love the color combo for your "sweater" pattern! Sorry to hear about the inks...I am sticking with A Muse Studio inks and Fresh Ink. Once I tried those, there's no going back!
