{PURE} Color Combo #1

 

The first color combination that I really love is

 Appletini Dye Ink, Sweet Gelato Dye Ink, and Sweet Nectar Dye Ink.

I used them to create a card {OK, two} for my parent's anniversary.

Next week they will be celebrating 44 years!

 

 

These colors are so vibrant, perfect for spring.

One quality of these Wplus9 dye inks that I really like is that they stamp much more opaque than other dye inks that I have.  I love that you get nice, solid, even coverage.

Bonus: The ink stays wet on the paper just long enough that you can heat emboss it too!

 

 

I used Folk Art Florals to create a vine-like pattern.

I'm not sure which card I will give them.

Pure Color {Friday Inspiration File #162}

 

I love dye ink. 

It's my favorite kind of ink to work with and I use it on 90% of my projects.

Now, of course, I can't live without a few Distress Inks and my Versamark, oh and my Versafine,

 and um.......an awesome white pigment ink and........;)

I have had a little time now to play around with the WPlus9 PURE COLOR Ink.

They stamp beautifully and the colors work so well together!

I can't wait to share my favorite color combinations with you in the next few days.

12 Kits Of Occasions {March 2014}

For this card I took a stamped image included in the kit, colored it with my copics, and then sliced a line with my craft knife right at the top of the basket.  That way I could insert these large die cut eggs.  I love the look of the over-sized eggs in the small basket.  The eggs that were stamped in the basket are concealed behind the large eggs.  Didn't even know they were there, did ya? ;)

 

 

This little guy was so cute

 I added the sentiment on the inside instead of the card front.

 

 

 

That little bird paper clip was one of my favorite things in the kit!

So cute!

 

 

 

And finally, a festive spring wreath!

Pink Marble

This card was a lot of fun to create. 

It was more of an experiment than anything else and I love the texture of the end result.

It reminds me of marble, but also has the look {in person} of a soft, fuzzy texture.

I created the heart by stamping and embossing the sentiment first.

Then, I wet the paper and added the distress inks using a finger dauber. Finally, I flicked and dripped  droplets of water onto the heart.

To create the background I added the color to the paper directly from the ink pad.

I added water {in flicks, drips, and spritzes} and dried the piece about 6 times until I was finished.  After it was dry, I stamped the sentiment and heat embossed it.  I used a stencil, Versamark ink, and a finger dauber to apply the embossed hearts.

Watercolor Lace

 

 

Good Afternoon.

I almost said morning because I'm still in my pjs.

That's what Saturdays are for....

All week long I hop out of bed at 6am and rush to get ready and out the door in an hour.

Saturday mornings are different.

 

 

CAS-ology: Blush

 

To get color into those tight spots, I used the smallest paint brush that I have

and it worked perfectly. The embossed lines help contain the water and color in the areas where they are placed and keep them from running together.
