I finally felt inspired to scrapbook again. I love how this page came out. All of the fun, colorful things that boys love spilling from the pages of a book!

I used the wire that holds the sign from Bird Watching to create a background pattern that looks like chicken wire to me:)

Parcel

One of the stores we stumbled on during our cupcake adventures was Parcel. When I walked in the door, I had no idea what I was walking into. It was just the most magical little shop filled with vintage and new odds and ends crammed into old drawers and pudding tins. Paper and labels and game pieces, envelopes, candy, watch parts, die cuts, stickers, bird nests, ribbon, letters! I could have spent hours in there.
Parcel also has their own line of invitations and embellishments with Jolee's Boutique!

Welcome Baby

These cards started with the idea of alternating the sun ray stamp from Up Up and Away. I tried both color combinations and ended up liking both a lot. I also used the sun center to create the other pattern on each card.

OLW Unexpected Colors

This week's focus of One-Layer Wednesday is using unexpected colors in place of a traditional color scheme. I chose Valentine's day which is traditionally represented with red, pink, and purple. I chose blue because blue is my favorite color, my bridesmaids wore blue, and my engagement ring is a sapphire. To me blue represents love so this is what I came up with.

A Cupcake Kind Of Day

I made this little cupcake carrier with a FREE template from Waltzingmouse Stamps.

While Claire is on vacation Lisa has hijacked her blog for a little friendly competition. The winner will receive a free stamp set of their choice. I love their stamp sets, but don't own any yet. Hopefully this will be my opportunity to try their stamps, for free!!

And where did I get that cute little cupcake? My mom, dad, and I set out on a quest yesterday. We traveled quite far for unique and tasty cupcakes. Our first stop was Sweet Avenue Bake Shop a vegan bakery in Rutherford, NJ. They have different cupcakes each day of the week so make sure you check their website before you go to see if they are making your favorite. After that we headed off to Cupcakes Galore and More... in Montclair, NJ. They have giant cupcakes in all different candy bar and pie flavors. We shared a Key Lime Pie cupcake that was delicious.



If you live in the area and love unique shops and places to eat, go check out Montclair Center. There were so many cool places to check out. We will definitely have to go back another day to see all of it. That's where I found the coolest little shop. I'll tell you more about that later.

You've Been So Sweet

I spent the day with 2 of my nephews yesterday.

We played on the beach. It was a great day.
