Friendship

Using stamps that I had, I thought it would be fun to try to create a pattern similar to the Making Memories patterned paper that I was using. I combined the stem stamp from First Fruits, the leaf stamp from Teacher's Apple, and the single dot from Polka Dot Basics.

Hope you are having a great weekend!

One Tiny Feather

Thursday, May 14, 2009

It's no secret that I love birds, especially humming birds. One of the kids at school brought this in for me to see, a hummingbird feather he found in his yard. His mom grows some flowers that attract hummingbirds and one built a nest near his garage.

How cool is this? What a sweet kid to think to bring this in just to show me!

Tonight is Papertrey's new release. I'll be up until 11:00 tonight:)

Bright Birthday

Tuesday, May 12, 2009

This little girl had on the cutest shirt at school today that used these colors. I couldn't wait to get home and use them on a project. I made this "patterned paper" with stamps from Papertrey Ink, Gina K, and Hero Arts. I used an Autumn Leaves rub on for the "HAPPY" and used a white ink pen to write the word "birthday."

Longwood Gardens

Monday, May 11, 2009

We spent the day yesterday at Longwood Gardens. It was such a beautiful day and the flowers!! They were amazing. I had never been there before, but if you live close it is worth the trip.

Love these little fiddleheads.

Saw this cute couple taking photos of themselves. They got all dressed up for the occasion. They were so happy and so cute.

Have a great week!

About A Card A Day

Thursday, May 7, 2009

This seems to be my average. About one card a day is the most I have time for these days. Some days I just experiment with some supplies and don't make anything. Ryan and I are on our 3rd week of P90X. It takes up a good chunk of our evening every night, 6 days a week. It is a 3 month commitment to get ourselves back in shape. After that, a normal 3 days a week plus our active lifestyle will be enough to maintain. They are really fun workouts. That helps a lot with motivation. The program includes Yoga and Kenpo, as well as weight training. It is different everyday which keeps it from getting boring. Each workout is and hour to an hour and a half (yoga). We are seeing results already and I have lost 5 pounds:) So the after work routine has been working out, walking the dog, making dinner, ironing work clothes, and making lunches. That pretty much brings us to 9pm every night. I don't know how people work and have kids and find time to do all this other stuff.

One more day and then we can all enjoy the weekend!

Summer Brights

I love these papers by Cosmo Cricket. They have the coolest edges, bright colors, and bold patterns. They have a really great website too. My favorite is the Dear Hubby Panic Button! I love the colors in their new Early Bird line.

Dear Old Dad

I'm starting to get to work on my Father's day cards so I have enough time to get a few in my shop. I love Papertrey's Men of Life stamp set.
