Paper Smooches August 2015 Guest Designer

Wednesday, August 5, 2015

I was so excited to have been chosen as the August Paper Smooches guest designer.  Every Wednesday, this month, I will be sharing projects with you using some of the August 2015 release products.  I had so much fun working with the new stamps and dies.  My projects today both use a new stamp set called,

I started this card by creating my background.  I made a circle mask so that I could create sand and sky using some distress inks.  using the   I die cut the same hole in the card base and card front to create a window to the inside of the card.  I stamped, colored, and cut out all of my scene elements from Summer Lovin' several times so that I could create layers of images from the outside in.  Similar to this card!

Once all of the elements were in place, I stamped one of the great sentiments from this set and it was done!  Here's a peek at the inside of the card.

My next card uses the same Summer Lovin' stamp set along with the new Flip Flop Dies.

I started by die cutting the flip flops from white and black cardstock.  On the white flip flops, I stamped the hibiscus flowers and leaves.  I colored them and the background of the sandals with Copic markers.  I used the black die cuts for the straps as well as to create a shadow.

I stamped the hibiscus stamp on the card front and lined up the flip flops to match.  I adhered them there, stamped another great sentiment from the Summer Lovin' set, and added the tiny heart.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you love these new products as much as I do.  I'll see you next Wednesday with more from the PS August Release!
