I used WP9 Queen Bee, Lime Light and Falling Star inks. Queen Bee and Lime Light are brand new colors and they are perfect for spring. If you haven't tried WP9 inks you should. The ink pads are so saturated that they stamp beautifully and are perfect for coloring cardstock {as you've probably heard me mention a few hundred times}
I stamped my pattern by first stamping the large yellow bloom and then masking it off. While the flower was masked I stamped all of the greenery. I then chose another placement for the flower so that I would have enough room around it for the greenery not to interfere with other stamped images. I worked my way around the panel like this until it was totally covered. One section of the panel ended up with not much of the yellow flower. I thought this was the perfect 'accident' because it provided a less cluttered area to stamp my sentiment from PTI Offbeat Birthday stamp set SSS Stitched Rectangle Die.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Are you like me, ready for SPRING???

ReplyDeleteThis must've been fun to stamp with all those sunny yellow flowers! Your sentiment looks great and I love the contrast that you achieved with the dark ink. Yes, I am ready for spring too!
