Holiday Cheer

Wednesday, October 25, 2017

Hey! I had a little more fun with emboss resist.  This time with gold embossing powder.  I stamped a collage of almost all of the images and sentiments from the Holiday Cheer set from The Stamp Market.  Once you've got all of those images positioned on your acrylic block you have to make more than one!

For the first one I added color using three shades of pink distress inks.  Trying my best to get a nice blend, dark to light, from the bottom up.  That's quite an arm workout!

I placed the distress ink panel on top of a piece of vellum that has some gold, irregular embossing along the edges.

For this second card I blended a few colors of blue distress ink and added some coordinating sequins.  Both are tied with twine and topped with a few gold tipped vellum snowflakes.

I'm happy I've finally gotten started on my Christmas cards.  I don't like waiting until the last minute, but I also like to wait until I'm in the mood for holiday crafting.  Thanks for visiting!
