Wild And Free

Saturday, November 5, 2016

My nephew, Jonathan, will be celebrating his 9th birthday next week.  He is definitely a free spirit and this set was the perfect choice for his card.

I've had my eye on this Wild And Free Waffle Flower set for a while and finally ordered it last week.  I did a little stamp cutting so that I could customize the image for my nephew.  The main sentiment was attached to the deer image, but for him I preferred the fox. It worked out perfectly and the two pieces fit back together quite easily to stamp the image the way it was intended if I choose to later.

I added a few little dot details with a black Faber-Castell Artist Pitt pen.  It's also perfect for filling in any parts of your image that did not stamp solidly.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Did you purchase any new stamps during the SSS No Tricks, Just Treats sale?  All products are linked below except for the birthday sentiment.  That sentiment is from a Papertrey Ink set called Stylish Sentiments: Birthday {affiliate links used}.

  1. Fantastic birthday card for a young boy. You are brave to cut your stamps....I have done that too a few times, but it still scares me.
