ColourQ #180

Tuesday, March 12, 2013

HEY!
It's time for another ColourQ Challenge.
Here we go with green again!  With this color palette I couldn't hide behind a green leaf.
Green had to be front and center.
It's definitely a challenge color for me, but in the end I created something that I like.

To create the speech bubbles I stamped the WP9 stamp onto grey cardstock, cut them out, and then flipped them over.  I wanted the shape, but not the heart design that is on the stamp.  It's a really cute stamp, but not what I wanted for this card.

Thanks for stopping by.
I can't wait to see what you do with these colors.
What do you think, are these colors easy for you?

Cardstock: PTI True Black, Soft Stone
Stamps: ME Trifecta, WP9 Love You More
Ink: PTI New Leaf, Simply Chartreuse, Smokey Shadow
Dies: PTI Headline Alphabet

  2. Very cute Kara...not so crazy about green either, but you really did think outside of the box by flipping over your stamp. Love it against the black cardstock base.

  9. Kara, LOVE, love love this card! So cool how you have the speech bubbles, but the speech is OUTSIDE the bubbles. What a different idea! I love things that are slightly off like that. So effective, with not many elements.

And yes, I panicked after reading that Google reader is going away ... what?!? It seems like that is what everyone uses. I followed the link in your prior post (thanks) and am trying Feedly. Or will be trying it. It's still clocking : )

  10. Love your design! And what a clever way to come up with speech bubbles. And so funny to have strange symbols in them--some secret code perhaps!!!
