The Littlest Stamp

Thursday, December 16, 2010

PTI's new Banner Builder set is a really sweet, whimsical set that I really knew I would love using.  Little did I know that I would find great inspiration in the littlest stamp in the set.  A tiny little x stamp.  If you're not careful, you'll loose it!  As soon as I saw it, I thought of cross stitch and I have been waiting to try out my idea for about a week now.  I love the result!
It really comes together more quickly than you might think.  I love the look with a mix of colors and on the bunny.  It gives the bunny a home made vintage toy look.

On this card I just used one ink color and I love the way that looks too!  I used my PTI felt for the first time on this card.  {Thanks, Audrey!}
Thanks for coming by today!

  1. Oh my gosh! Love that cross-stitch idea! I'm definitely going to try this out! Very cute!

  2. Absolutely love the 2nd card. Hawaiian Shores I think? Fabulous - the acrylic oval and the butterfly over the flower. Great job! Stunning idea.

  3. What a fabulous idea!!! Love the clear cdstk too!

  4. What a great idea for that stamp. I didn't even know it was in there. Love the butterfly on the second card too.

  5. That little x makes an adorable image on a baby card. It is especially cute on the bunny with all that great sparkly glitter. Cute cards today, Kara.

  6. Very cool cards, Kara! I love how you used the x to make a stitched look. It turned out great!

  7. You ALWAYS have the best ideas!!! And they translate perfectly from your brain to the paper!!! FANTASTIC ~~

  8. These are beautiful Kara! The xxx reminds me of the chicken scratch I used to do.

  9. Both cards are beautiful, Kara. What a great idea to use the little 'x' for a cross-stitch pattern.

  10. That "Forever Friend" is gorgeous! I love the colors, the felt, the ribbon, the lay out, that polka dotted border......WOW!

  11. So, so sweet! Love that little bunny!

  12. That first card is adorable. I love the cross stitch idea!! So clever!

  13. Love both cards, but especially the first one. What a fabulous idea to use the 'x' image! I love how you varied the colours and spacing. Great inspiration, thanks for sharing!
