Alcohol Watercolor

Monday, July 19, 2010

To create this look I colored my image heavily with copics. First I colored the flowers, stems, and leaves. Then I colored the entire rectangle with T1(grey). After that I shaded the jar with the darker greys. Then I used my lightest blue and colored the entire image again. I used the darker blues to shade the background. Blending greys and blues until I was happy with it. Then I took rubbing alcohol and flicked it onto my paper using my hand. I kept flicking the alcohol until I was happy with the result. After I was finished I clear embossed the front of the entire piece of paper. I only embossed it once because I like the texture rather than a super smooth finish. I really like the way it turned out.
Have a great day!
