WPlus9 Holiday Cards & Tags

The holidays are around the corner and I like to make a ton of Christmas/Holiday cards and tags to send to family and friends.  WPlus9 recently released some great new holiday sets, but they also have many older sets that are still as beautiful as the day they were released!

I've been pulling out all of my Christmas sets lately.  There are so many great ones just like this set from Simon Says Stamps: Ugly Sweaters!

 

There are so many ways to mix and match the images in the set to design your own ugly sweater.

Have you ever been to and ugly sweater party?  We have a contest at school every year and the students come in with the most creative sweaters that they create themselves. I look forward to it and it's coming up soon!

A Little House In The Woods

 

TGIF! I've had the best day so far.  I meant to post this earlier, but Ryan and I decided to get out the house for the day and do something fun!  We went for breakfast in a cute little town not far from us.  Then we took a ride to Frenchtown and Lambertville.  Awesome little towns with Main Streets lined with great shops and cafes.  We did a little shopping, had the best mocha latte, and had a lovely conversation with a local artist in her studio. 

 

 

 

We are home now, to our little house in the woods, and Ryan is preparing a fire.

 

I made this card a few days ago and am trying out different spots in our house to photograph.  These came out pretty well.  This is in my craft room which currently has wallpaper that must go, but as a backdrop for this card...not terrible. lol! 

 

 

I did add some shimmer with a Wink Of Stella clear pen to the trees and the roof of the house , but it doesn't show up in these photos. 

 

Just a little creative die cutting on this one.  Super simple!

Winter Flowers

Good Morning! I'm off today so that means I have time for a quick post! I recently purchased this Winter Flowers set from Simon Says Stamp and love the many coloring options this set provides!

 

For this particular card I chose to stamp and emboss on kraft cardstock.  I love using Copics on Kraft.  Test your colors on a scrap piece of kraft before coloring your project.  Although you are familiar with how the colors look on white they create a whole new color on kraft.  I love that!

 

This design would be really easy to mass produce.  For easier mailing, skip all the dimension and the card would be just as pretty!  I tend to use dimensional adhesive between each layer of everything and then regret it when it's time to mail the card.  I can't help it! 

I've been using this new Be Merry die from WP9 a lot lately.  Its very versatile and goes well on any project by just changing the sentiment.
