 It's Friday!
My personalized stamp arrived not long after I posted yesterday.
I'm really happy with them.  The script font and the engraved wood is beautiful.

I still had my Watercolored Anemones and Graceful Greetings stamp sets out on my desk.  I think the combination of these two sets is perfect!

A simple one-layer card and I just love it.  The colors are so beautiful together.

To get that very sift first layer on the flowers, I stamped off once before stamping onto my project.

Don't forget to check out the Friday Inspiration File #226 this week. Have a great weekend!

Birthday Anemones

Thursday, July 9, 2015

Good Morning!  I'm having a great morning so far.  Got my exercise in,  had breakfast, listened to a few podcasts, and spent some time in my craft room.

I love the font on this PTI stamp set.  The size of the sentiment is really great too.  Sometimes you want the sentiment to take center stage and the ones in the set can.  It stands out against the beautiful WPlus9 Anemones.

Nice to see you today!
I'm headed outside to play with Piper before the rain comes.

 Hey!
I needed one more 'thank you' card.  I'm trying to hold off sending them out because I am waiting for some personalized stamps to arrive.  They should be here by tomorrow.  I ordered a return address stamp and a 'handmade by' stamp from Bossy Joscie.
Here's a peek at what they look like.

I'm excited to start using them and I have three cards ready to go.

This is a real simple one.  I stamped the large sentiment in black and accented it with a rainbow of hearts.  My mom loves hearts and I do too.  I have an entire Pinterest board dedicated to them.  My favorites are the ones found in nature.

Thanks for popping in.  Have you ordered any personalized stamps in the past?  If so, would you care to share a link?  I'd love to check out other options for personalized stamps.  I think they'd make great gifts.

Graceful Greetings

Tuesday, July 7, 2015

Hello!
We're back home after a quick trip to PA to spend time with family.  Because we don't see each other very often, we usually pick up or hand make little gifts for each other.  I wanted to send a 'thank you' to may aunt and sister-in-law for the gifts they gave me.

I used a new {to me} stamp set from PTI.  I stamped the flowers and leaves from Graceful Greetings in clusters to create a pattern for this card.  I used two shades of purple from WP9 called Bloomsberry and Cockleshell.  I accented them with a small flower stamped in Lake House.  They look beautiful together.  Thanks to the ColourQ for the inspiration!

I used the WP9 Landscape Border die to create a soft curve for each card.

I kept this card a bit more simple, adding the clusters just around the sentiment.

I think I'll give the simple one to my sister-in-law and the floral pattern card to my aunt.

I hope you had a great weekend, too.  I'm glad to be home with Piper though.  I missed her!  We were lucky and my father-in-law was kind enough to come stay at our house with Piper while we were away for a few days.  What do you do with your pets while on vacation?

Friday Inspiration File Week #225

Friday, July 3, 2015

Good Morning.  TGIF!
Today is the day where I like to share some
cards that really caught my eye during the week.  I usually add the projects to the Friday Inspiration File on Thursday night.  So even though I don't always post about it here, I am adding new projects every week.  This week's cards are labeled #225!

Top Left: Leigh , Top Right: Ros , Center Left: Kay M,
Center Right: Birgit, Bottom Left: Diana, Bottom Right: Yana

Enjoy and have a wonderful weekend!  If you could pin a card to the file, {something that really made you say, "Wow!" this week} what would it be?  Feel free to leave a link in the comments.  I'd love to see!

In The Clouds

Thursday, July 2, 2015

Orange and blue is one of my favorite color combinations especially for boys, but also in nature.  Orange flowers against a bright blue sky just do something for me.  They are colors that seem like they shouldn't work together, but they do so beautifully.

I used a really sweet set from Avery Elle to stamp my images, called Fly By.  I also used number stamps from this set to stamp a background on the blue cardstock.

I can't seem to stop layering panels of color on my cards.  I used the Love Mom Layers die to cut panels from blue, orange, and dark grey.  The top layer was also cut with a border die from Pretty Pink Posh to add to the cloud look.

Thanks for stopping by again today!  What is your favorite combination of colors that shouldn't work, but really do?

Turned Upside Down

Wednesday, July 1, 2015

Every year my aunt hosts our family gathering.  We drive in from different directions and meet in the middle.  My aunt and uncle live on a mountain in western PA.  They are not very close to stores or restaurants and we like it that way.  We look out over the valley, play wild games of Uno, we craft, we eat, we tell stories.......We have a lot of fun.  With that many people in one house things can get a little messy, but my aunt never complains.

I made this card for her to say, Thanks!  The outside represents all of us there and the inside represents the peace and order she will get back once we leave.  I know she'd prefer to have us there though.  She also has a cat so I know she'll love that.

I used an adorable set designed by Joni called, Smart Kitty.  I doubled up the die cuts to add dimension.  I used to love those stacked stickers from way back.  This is my version of those.

I positioned everything to look as if it was tumbling off the stack of books and on the inside I quickly fixed everything and piled it all back up.

Thanks for coming by!
I'm looking forward to getting together.
Do you have annual family reunions?
