Papertrey Ink Celebration {Sketch Challenge}

Today PTI has provided 5 sketches for us to try. 

 The hearts are meant to represent a cloud as in the inspiration photo below.  They look pretty cute even though their shape is not *quite* right.

I used an unlikely color combination for me, Lavender Moon and Autumn Rose.  I'm not a purple person, but I love how the lavender looks with the rose.  Added a touch of chocolate, too!

Inspired By Pinterest {PTI Celebration Day 5}

Today the celebration continues at Papertry Ink.  Today the design team was inspired by Pinterest.  We were invited to use their inspiration or our own to create a project.  Although they had chosen some wonderful inspiration pieces, two of my own have been on my mind.  An awesome iPhone case and a really cool poster.  Both are pictured below.

I first cut a mask using the largest PTI heart die.  Then I inked the stamp randomly with 3 different ink colors and stamped the text over the mask to have the text take the shape of the heart as in the poster.  Then I cut a few more hearts, scored them an attached them only on the folded are to recreate the lifted hearts on the phone cover.

I then stamped the entire sentiment on the inside to leave the front of the card very simple!  So glad I was able to make this today and still have enough light to photograph it.  Not the best light, but I'll take it:)

These owls are no exception.  They have such fun, bright colors on them.

I've used these colors to create a set of cards for my Mother-In-Law.  I stamped each flower onto its die cut shape and then accented each flower with a shadow colored with Copics.  I first saw this technique done by Amber.  She used colored pencils.  I decided to try Copics and see how it would turn out and I love it!

Papertrey Ink 5th Anniversary Celebration {Day 2}

Today's PTI celebration continues with some fun, free downloads for us to use on our projects.  I chose to use this Happy Birthday sentiment designed by Dawn McVey!

I have also used today's Make It Monday technique of stamping on both sides of a die cut.  I used the leaf from Rosie Posie for this.  Although the leaf design is not symmetrical, I was able to make it work!

Papertrey Ink 5th Anniversary Celebration {Day 1}

Today is  the beginning of PTI's 5th Anniversary celebration.  They always plan so many fun posts, giveaways, and challenges.  Today each of the design team members posted their favorite PTI products.  We are challenged to use some of those favorites on a project today.  That's easy!
