Hey! Today I have a card to share that I made just because I wanted to watercolor some hydrangeas! This Mondo Hydrangea set by Essentials By Ellen was perfect because of it's large size. You can get a lot of color variation on one flower just like the real thing.
We have so many beautiful hydrangeas blooming in our yard now. I just love them!
I white heat embossed the flowers on watercolor paper. I added color with pinks, blue, and purple distress ink. Once they were dry, I die cut them with the coordinating die. They were a little warped, but I liked the dimension it gave to the card so I didn't try to force them to lie flat. I wanted to add black as an accent so I added black dots to the center of each flower, black ink to word die cut, and a black banner at the top. Honestly, I tried stamping the sentiment in black directly onto the white cardstock and I messed up! lol Had to hide it with the banner.
Thanks for stopping by today. I have linked supplies used or similar below {affiliate links used} Have a great day!
Totally STUNNING!!!
