Inspired By Logos

I've always loved this logo.  On the treadmill yesterday it hit me, Modern Basics would be perfect for this.  I jumped off the treadmill and made a little note, I tend to forget:)  I used just about every ink color that I have..just about;)

Twinkle Twinkle

I loved Debbie's interpretation of this week's Make It Monday technique.  I was really inspired to incorporate some of her ideas into a card of my own.  To make my mask for this card I used the button boutique die to cut the rounded rectangle frame.  Using a die makes making a frame much easier and fool proof!

Make It Monday #21: 2 Step Masking

Pull!

I can't cook.  I can make a few simple things (Mom, stop laughing!).  It just seems like a lot more work than it's worth.  My husband, on the other hand, loves to cook.  It's a way for him to be creative and he is very good at it.  So, while he's cooking I am usually getting our lunches made for the following day or helping him with some prep.  I'm good at chopping:)  Since he is so into what he's doing, it is the perfect time for me to slip little notes into his lunch without him seeing.  He'll get this one tomorrow!

Make It Monday #20: Reverse Masking

This week's MIM is Reverse Masking.  I die cut mat stack 5 from a piece of lightweight computer paper.  I used repositionable adhesive to keep my mask in place.  Each time I placed the mask I rubbed white ink onto the exposed area to define the shape.  Then I stamped the stem and flower images over the light, white ink.  I wanted the background to be the star, but it still needed something more.  I just added a simple bow and hanging heart.
