Just a simple one layer card today.   I've been thinking about how much fun my girl friends and I used to have when we all lived in the same town.  We are still great friends, but we are split up between 3 states.

Since my mom's surgery, two weeks ago, she has received many 'get well' gifts, cards, and flowers.  She is in need of several 'thank you' cards.  I had a few in my stash for her, but needed a few more. 

Flowers are perfect for 'thank you' cards!  I tried to keep this one slim and easy to mail, but couldn't resist adding the buttons.  Oh well!

We Make A Perfect Pear

I'm getting this week's MIM done just under the wire.  The focus technique is selective inking, choosing which portion of a stamp to ink up and use on your project.  I decided to use Button Boutique's 'We Make A Perfect Fit' sentiment stamp and omit the word 'Fit'.  In its place I used Outline Alphabet to stamp the word Pear.

The house is clean and I'm headed back into my room for more creative time!

Friday Inspiration File #15

Another Inspiration file a day late!  My mother-in-law and my mom have both recently had surgery.  My mom is coming home from the hospital today.   A lot going on lately, which is why I haven't really had much crafting time, but I have been around checking out all of my favorite blogs.  Here are a few things that caught my eye this week.  Enjoy!

Long Awaited Visitor

I bought this feeder a few months ago and researched when I should put it out in our area.  I patiently waited until the middle of April.  It was up for about a week and and half before I spotted him!  Not the greatest photos.  They were taken through our storm door.  Now that I know he's here, I'll be ready to get some better photos!

Fill This Day With JOY

Our Friends' oldest son made his First Holy Communion this weekend.  I wanted to make him a special card, but didn't have any religious stamps or embellishments.  I decided to create a cross out of satin ribbon. 

We spent a really nice day with our friends and their families yesterday in celebration.
