Hi! I have a card today inspired by the very talented Laura Bassen. I'm sure you all know her. She is well know for her beautiful use of rainbow colors in her designs, but she does so much more! She recently made a card that just made my jaw drop; beautiful soft colored die cuts on a bold navy background. Then yesterday she did it again and I couldn't resist trying it out with the new WPlus9 release products!
For my design I used Southern Summer Florals 2. I die cut the flowers and leaves in several colors of cardstock. I stamped the second step of the multi-step stamp on the die cut in a coordinating dye ink color.
I positioned clusters of flowers and leaves in the corners and cut off any bits that hung over the edge. I added a few more on the sides and trimmed them the same way. In the center I used a Basic Greetings die cut as well as a stamped sentiment from Basic Labels.
Such a striking design I had to make another using Summer Citrus. I'll be back to share that one soon!
