It's another rainy day here today so I thought I'd take advantage of it and play along with the MFT Sketch Challenge. I just finished saying how I never use patterned paper and here I am using some! I did give away most of my paper stash, but I held on to a few pieces that I loved. I decided this little bunny needed a paper pieced dress.
As I mentioned yesterday, I love adding dimension to my cards. If I run low on foam dots I start to get nervous. I pick up 5 packs at a time from my local craft store. As much as I love creating dimension I curse it when it's time to mail the cards.
Instead of telling myself I can't or shouldn't create cards like this, I have decided to also create a simpler, less dimensional version while all of my supplies are out. Generally, I don't enjoy mass producing because I get bored creating the same thing more than once. I don't feel that way when I do this. I am still challenging myself to come up with something new even though I'm using the same supplies.
I love both versions! Which do you lean more towards: the dimensional 'couture' cards or the simple 'ready-to-wear' cards?
Have a great Saturday!

ReplyDeleteBoth cards are fabulous but my preference is the couture card. I love the layers/dimension they have :) The bunny is adorable in her paper pieced dress!

ReplyDeleteThey're both as cute as can be! The design depends on my mood!! Sometimes it's couture and others, ready to wear!
