Hey Guys! I hope that wherever you are you are experiencing the same kind of beautiful weather we have been having here. It's been a little taste of spring, and although it's not here to stay {yet} it is making me so happy! Thanks for all of your well wishes; I am feeling much better!
Today's card design created a two for one! I started by die cutting the Concord and 9th butterfly from masking paper. I adhered the mask to the center of a piece of white cardstock. I burnished it with a bone folder to ensure no ink would seep underneath the mask. I then stamped squares in a 3x3 grid. I used the solid square stamp from WP9 Greetings and Salutations. I decided to choose inks in a rainbow-like order. I used mostly PTI ink colors: Pure Poppy, Summer Sunrise, Harvest Gold, New Leaf, Spring Rain, Enchanted Evening, Winter Wisteria, Scarlet Jewel, and Versafine Onyx.
Once my grid was stamped I removed the mask and die cut the panel with the Concord and 9th Friend Like You die. I made sure to hold onto all of those tiny letters. I attached it to a black card base and popped up a black butterfly on the masked area.
In order to place all of the letters in the right place on my second card I die cut another, thinner, piece of cardstock using the same die to use as a guide. I attached the guide to the black cardstock using temporary adhesive. Then I was able to add liquid adhesive in the letter openings and easily insert the letters. Once I was done I removed the guide and all of the letters were perfectly placed and secure.
I love this sentiment! Thanks for coming by today. See you again soon!
