Hello! Happy Super Bowl Sunday. No football fans in this house so we will just enjoy the day doing what we love to do. For me that means crafting. I made a trio of cards using the new Beautiful Bouquet Ranunculus stamp set from WPlus9. It's a beautiful little set if you love to color. If not, don't worry. You can still enjoy this set in so many other ways. I love stamping solid images over black lined images. It's a simple way to add color and impact! I used a beautiful color combination of Mojito, Falling For Blue, and Hayride.
I stamped three panels the same way and then die cut them with various dies. Two of my favorites: the Sunshine Layers Die and the Stitched Rectangle Die.
I embellished this one with die cuts from the Bountiful Blooms Die, the Small Butterfly Frame Die, and the Flower Doodles Die. I added a few Falling For Blue Enamel Dots to finish it off.
Thanks for stopping by!

your cards are lovely Kara - i've done that technique before with the ink splats stamps and quite forgot about will have to give it a try again
ReplyDeleteI love how you have used this stamp with just the splashes of colour. Its is very effective & showcases it beautifully. Sometimes colouring intimidates me so I must try this technique. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteOh WOW!! I LOVE that stamp with the splashes of color!! I am going to have to try this with my other larger stamps that I don't feel like coloring all the time!! Your cards are fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful, Kara!!!
ReplyDeleteI like you more every day, Kara! No football fans here either!! But I'm a huge fan of the duo of cards you've made ... gorgeous - random stamping that nobody does better, wonderful color combination! I am becoming more sorry every day that I passed this one up ... for now.

Just awesome! I was looking for an open flowerstamp to color... think I just found the perfect one.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I love that you didn't color but let the "randomness" of the ink splats add the color!
ReplyDeleteLovely work!
